Clarinets reeds and cork grease Saxophones reeds, neck strap and cork grease Trumpets, baritones and tubas valve oil and slide grease. Trombones slide cream and spray bottle French horn rotary valve oil (different than valve oil) Percussion drums sticks and bell mallets Most of these things come with a newly purchased or rented instrument. Other Basic Percussion Needs Most young percussionists are still exploring the activity, so no need to go overboard with practice needs. Your percussionist will need a set of practice bells to keep at home.
