Middle C Treble G Middle C Bass F The Treble Clef is also called the G Clef because it marks the G line, line 2. To the right are some examples of G Clefs used hundreds of years ago. Notice how the treble clef is really a fancy letter G. ` The Bass Clef is also called the F Clef because it marks the F line, line. Some old F Clefs have been placed on the staff so that you can see their resemblance to the modern F Clef. 1
26 26 RHYTHM Bar lines are used to separate measures. The top number shows how many beats in each measure. `5 The bottom number shows the note value that gets one beat. `55 Example: There are four beats per measure. Stem Placement When the stem goes, it is placed on the right side of the note head.
