9 Smallest detectable defects: example of burst of holes System is able to detect ~1 pixel size defects. On tissue smallest defects are not meaningful to detect but in the system small defects can treated as statistical without showing them on the main screen as default Smallest defect in this image is roughly 3x3 pixels = 1.5 x 1.5 mm hole. Other holes are 2-3 mm in diameter 9

11 Achieving over 50% hole reduction by removing repeated holes Repeating defect details show in RED. Pattern is analyzed and root cause displays in the information. In this repeating pattern matches with wire section. Now operators can go to the machine and remove the pitch particle stuck to the wire, removing hole cause. WITH IMMEDIATE REACTION TO REPEATED DEFECTS, OVER 50% OF THE DEFECTS CAN BE REDUCED WIS shows all defects in the defect map. Repeated holes are extremely easy to remove since holes produce long lines in the map 11
