VIERA Technical Concept PROCESSOR VIERA V-real 3 / V-real PRO 3 Processor This core, state-of-the-art device generates signals that comply with the newest video standards. DRIVER VIERA V-real 3 / V-real PRO 3 Driver This driver displays VIERA's stunning, real-life images onto the panel. PANEL VIERA G11 HD/G11 Full HD Panel The full-hd panel displays images in magnificent resolution. Dynamic sports action, sunset colours that flow naturally from one to the other, vividly coloured resort scenes. V-real 3 brings emotion and excitement to the screen. "V-real" is the collective name for Panasonic's black-box imaging technologies, which have now evolved into the V-real 3 and V-real PRO 3 of the 2008 VIERA models. In the process, we redesigned every V-real device. We combined technologies that were originally developed to produce the HD camcorders that relay the excitement of the Olympic Games with technologies that were created by the Panasonic Hollywood Laboratory (PHL) for moviemaking. Image quality was scrutinised from every angle to give VIERA its deeply moving impact. 1080p Digital Processing Chip-Set Panasonic's original chip-set processes high-resolution video signals in their native 1920 x 1080-pixel format, without downconversion. 1080p Digital Re-Mastering Processor This processor converts ordinary SD broadcasts and DVD video signals into high-resolution 1080p signals to render crisp images and optimise them for large-screen viewing. Our high-performance driver controls the drive power to optimise panel performance. The resulting images show every motion clearly and express each step of gradation in delicate detail. About Twice the Resolution of a Standard HD Plasma Display Panel HD PDP (approx. 1,050,000 pixels) 1366 The full-hd panel (1920 x 1080 resolution) directly displays the 1080p images that are processed by the video circuit to ensure highly detailed 1080p images. All VIERA plasma display panels are mercury and lead free. This reduces the impact on the environment when recycling or disposing of them in the future. Excellent picture quality for longer use Long Panel Life, Up to 100,000 Hours VIERA plasma displays can be used for 30 years or more even when viewed for 8 hours a day. The VIERA plasma panel offers a long service life of about 30 years or more, when watched for eight hours a day. Panasonic is working to maximise resources, based on the motto of developing products that maintain high quality for a long time. Safe design VIERA TOUGH PANEL (tentative name) Resource-Saving * This measurement is based on the time taken for the brightness of the panel to reduce to half of its maximum level. The time taken to reach this level may vary depending on the image content and the environment where the TV is used. Image retention and malfunctions are not taken into account. Resource-Saving Front glass panel provides high resistance to impacts. The front of the plasma TV is covered by a glass panel, for extra assurance just in case something hits it. What's more, the protective panel makes cleaning easier too; simply wipe the panel with a soft cloth when necessary. Optimal, waste-free light adjustment Eco Mode The TV adjusts the picture settings automatically depending on the ambient lighting conditions. The image brightness changes according to the level of room lighting to achieve an energy-saving operation. *Except PX/PV8 Series Energy-Saving Comfortable viewing Gentle on the Eyes Eye fatigue is suppressed, so both children and adults can watch TV in comfort even when viewing for relatively long periods of time.
