For a fixed price, KWS Electronic will provide a replacement of the equivalent instrument or above, until your own measuring receiver is returned to you. The AMA300 package contains the measuring receiver, DVB T frontend, MPEG2 decoder and a leather case (CA modules and smartcards are not included in the scope of delivery). The rulers developed by KWS allow you to print the values stored in the memory on various paper sizes in a variety of fonts. WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) functionality allows the user to create clearer reports in less time. The report looks the same on the screen as on the printout. An XML interface allows data to be processed in all XML compatible programs. A special API is available for this as an option. The integrated Excel export interface lets you process the measured value memory and the tuning memory directly in Excel and compatible spreadsheet programs. AMA.blue: The universal interface from the AMA300/301 measuring receiver to PCs and notebooks. It is of course ideal with AMA.doc/J Desktop and functions with virtually all AMA compatible software. 14

The new report format displays a greater number of measurements more clearly, makes the measurement logs more comprehensive and saves paper in the process. AMA.doc/J is more powerful and has more connection options than ever before. In addition to the serial cable and support of all USB adapters, AMA.blue facilitates connection via Bluetooth. AMA.doc/J PC software for data transfer between the measuring receiver and PC. Keeping system logs is becoming increasingly important: logs help determine which expansions or upgrades are necessary to correct problems that may arise in the future. This is why we developed the AMA.doc/J PC software based on the Java programming language: for communicating with the AMA300/301 measuring receivers. The RG227 does not have as many functions as the RG226, however it does offer the same complete frequency range from 1MHz to 2,150 MHz. The output level can be reduced by 10dB. 17

With the RF Analyzer RFA110, the spectrum of the incoming return channel is recorded in real time and displayed as a picture modulated on a free carrier and fed into the forward path of the system. First, calibrate the return path of the installed amplifier to the calculated level. Then check the distribution network. The modem is simulated at the terminal connection socket at the data connection using the RFG100 generator. The return channel spectrum that is received at the transfer point is modulated on a free carrier in real time using the RFA110 Analyzer. This means that the output channel can be chosen freely within the range E21 E68. You can then check the return path level at the TV connection of the terminal connection socket using a measuring receiver (AMA or VAROS). 19

The pulses fed into the cable are reflected from existing cable errors, and shown on the display. By analysing the shape and the duration of the reflection, the type of the error and the error distance can be determined. Antenna range: Since the introduction of digital television, the accurate assessment of distributor links has become more and more important. Irregularities caused by cable pinches or bad coaxial connections, for example, are a major problem as they affect analogue and digital signals and generate standing waves as returning energies. Standing waves are also reflected into the network by exposed lines (75ohm) or short circuits. 20

Design: The design of the leather case is very simple: it protects the instrument during transportation or operation it is robust and made of leather that is water and dirt resistant it improves day to day work thanks to its sophisticated functionality. For example, the sturdy shoulder strap prevents the instrument from slipping when working on roof tops and the two retaining clips prevent the instrument from falling out during operation. The instrument face is kept clean by an additional removable protective film that is connected with nylon loop fasteners. The film material is made of soft PVC and thus ensures that the instrument remains easy to use. 21
