You should have the following components in your kit: itechworld folding arm dish. itechworld folding easy base (this is the base section of the dish). itechworld padded bag. 2 Congratulations on purchasing an itechworld Satellite kit. Please read the instructions thoroughly, being careful not to skip any steps as they will guide you through setting up your kit. If after a few attempts you have been unsuccessful in getting the system going, simply contact us, one of our friendly staff will be more than happy to help you. If your dish is not assembled then you will need to that before reading on. Step 1 Take your new dish out of its bag, and place on a flat surface. Lift the Dish up from the base, locking the metal bar with the elevation marks into place at the top back of the dish.

3 Fit the itechworld LNB arm onto the base front of the dish using the wing-nut. Step 2 If you have also purchased a satellite receiver then read on, if not you will need to use your own. Or you will need to buy one from us. Connecting your Receiver to your TV Connect your satellite receiver to your TV. Turn on your satellite receiver and TV. Ensure your satellite receiver is not in standby mode. Switch your TV to the Correct AV channel that the satellite receiver is connected to. You should have a picture on your screen. For Optus C1 you have to be on the info channel, normally channel 1 Or for VAST you need channel 800. You should now have a message on your screen telling you that you have no signal/a blank screen. This means you are ready for step 3.

4 Step 3 Connecting the set top box to the satellite dish Take your 20mtr cable and screw it on to the LNB satellite input on the back of the set top box. Now run the other end of the 20mtr lead out of your vehicle outside to your dish. Connect the other end of the 20m cable to the sat finder. (note on the back of the sat finder you will see the words REC or receiver and LNB or satellite. The 20m plugs into the REC side.) Now connect the 1m cable from the LNB side of the sat finder to the LNB on the arm of the dish. The sat finder comes with instructions please read them and then to proceed to locate the Optus C1 satellite. If in doubt, look north east. The C1 satellite is found above Papua New Guinea. So if you're in Australia that's in the North east. Step 4 Aligning your dish. You are looking for Optus C1. At the back of this manual there is a reference table for the Optus C1 satellite please refer to this now. Find your nearest town and these are the bearings you will be using, Using the markings on the arm at the back of the dish set the appropriate elevation. Using your compass find your bearing, remembering it should be roughly north east Use one of the T pegs to fix the dish base to the ground.

5 Step 5 Finding the Satellite. Your dish is now pointing the right way; all you have to do is tweak it. Using the db knob or ATT buttons on the sat-finder, set the meter to halfway. Turn your dish left and right, watching the sat-finder for a Spike (that's a high point). Once you have found a spike, move the dish up/down and then left and right again. The aim is to make the sat-finder go all the way to maximum. Once the sat finder is on max, check your TV. You should see a picture. If you have a picture, proceed to the next step. If you don't have a picture reset the Elevation and bearing and start again, a common problem is moving your dish too far from the original bearings and locking on to the wrong satellite. If you have the wrong satellite try moving the dish 4 degrees left and 4 degrees up, or 4 degrees right and 4 degrees down. Your very close now. SKEW Twist the LNB to match the skew makings on the reference chart on the next page. Each dash on the LNB represents a value of 5 degrees, for positive values you rotate the LNB clockwise, negative you rotate the LNB anticlockwise. Step 6 Getting your channels. You should have a picture on the info channel by this point. If you don't then you are not on the satellite and can NOT activate your card, repeat step 5. Use the other T pin to secure the dish to the ground. Remove the sat-finder and short cable from the dish and screw in the 20mtr cable direct into the dish. Now that you have your channels all that remains is enjoying TV anywhere in Australia. Thanks again for choosing itechworld.

7 Trouble shooting Please DO NOT access the menu of your receiver to change any settings. All our satellite kits are pre scanned and setup for your equipment. Any alteration can lead to the system not working correctly. Q. I have a reading on my satellite finder but the TV screen says no or bad signal, why? A. This happens when you are not on the correct satellite. There are 4 satellites near each other as shown above. The C1 satellite gives the highest signal on your satellite finder. Q. What channel should my satellite receiver be on for aligning the dish? A. Channel 1 for Optus set top boxes and Channel 800 for UEC VAST. Q. The message on the TV screen says scrambled service, what is wrong? A. If you are receiving this message then your card needs to be activated or reauthorised. Please contact Optus or VAST depending on the system you have. Q. My satellite finder does not light up or make any noise. A. Make sure the satellite finder is plugged into the long cable going to the box and the short cable to the dish. The receiver needs to be powered and not in standby mode for the finder to work.
