The GORDON JEFFERY MUSIC FOUNDATION invites you to our 29th season of internationally acclaimed artists and exciting upand-coming young stars. The Jeffery Concerts represent part of the legacy of Gordon Jeffery ( ). A music scholar, collector, organist, and conductor, he provided generous, often anonymous, support to promising young musicians while enriching London s concert scene. To continue Mr. Jeffery s vision of providing chamber music to London s cultural life, the Jeffery Trust founded the Aeolian Concerts in A substantial gift from the Jeffery legacy led to the completion of the Wolf Performance Hall which became the new venue for the series, renamed The Jeffery Concerts. In 2006 the Trust became The Gordon Jeffery Music Foundation.

6 Friday November 4, 2016 William Preucil, violin & Arthur Rowe, piano Concertmaster of the Cleveland Symphony, world-renowned violinist William Preucil has led a multifaceted and eminent career in solo, chamber, and orchestral performance. Actively involved as an educator, Mr. Preucil serves as Distinguished Professor of Violin at the Cleveland Institute of Music and has received many prestigious awards and recognitions at home and abroad. Pianist Arthur Rowe will join him in an evening of works by Schubert, Schumann and Kreisler, celebrating almost 40 years of concertizing together.

Both are recent winners of prestigious awards: Cameron the loan of the Bonjour Stradivarius cello and Shaw Adam cello bow by the Canada Council s Instrument Bank and Philip the Prix Goyer, one of the largest prizes world-wide for an emerging classical artist. 11 Saturday March 25, 2017 Andrew Haji, tenor PHOTO CREDIT VERONIKA ROUX PHOTOGRAPHY This concert will mark London-born Andrew Haji s debut performance with the Jeffery Concerts. This young tenor superstar performs regularly with the Canadian Opera Company and recently won the Grand Prix, Press Prize, and Junior Jury Prize at the International Vocal Competition s-hertogenbosch in the Netherlands. Tonight s performance will include Robert Schumann s Dichterliebe, widely considered his finest song cycle. Haji has a glorious tenor, bright, clarion, sweet, rich, always used with musicality and discerning taste. To sum it up in a few words, his singing on this occasion was marvelous.
