1 ENGLISH CORNER Opening Entry Issue No 5 Dear Readers, This is the last issue of our magazine this year so it s time we made a brief summary. I hope you enjoyed reading Adrian s great poems, Kacper s funny comics, Julka s practical language tasks as well as all the news, games and tasks prepared by Agnieszka and Agata.J We d like to give our special thanks to Michasia who greatly contributed to the development of our magazine in the field of graphics. Unfortunately, Michasia will be leaving us this year, as a 3 rd grader, so we want to wish her all the best in the new school. We ll be missing you! Good luck! We d like to say thank you to our little helpers : Mr Andrzej Mielczarek, Ms Anna Strzelecka and others who have supported us this year. Thanks for everything and see you after the summer break. Happy Holidays Everyone, Hi Readers, This issue will be our last in this school year and for me the last in a life. I m really unhappy. Newsletter team is awesome and being here is an unforgotable adventure. I can t stand that next year I won t be here! Who is going to do Newsletter graphic? I m the best at it! Of course I am only joking :). Because it s my last issue I want to say a few things. Firstly, to Ms Adrianna Krajewska I m really thankful for helping me, for being my mentor and for screwing me to the team. Secondly, to editors You were awesome! You did good work and I m sure you will do it too next year,. Good luck! And the last thing Readers please read our Newsletter!!! It makes us happy, when somebody can learn something and has fun from our hard work. Please support my team next year! Have a nice holiday, Panda is included in the program of WWF organization. The giant panda lives in a few mountain ranges in central China. The giant panda has a black-and-white coat. Adults measure around 1.2 to 1.8.m long, including a tail of about 13 cm and 60 to 90 cm tall at the shoulder. Males can weigh up to 160 kg. Females can weigh as little as 75 kg. Panda eats bamboo or plants and eggs. Pandas die because people destroy their natural environment. 1 adapted from In This Issue: Messages from us Project Green Phrase Book part 3 Psss! 2 Shrek 1 It's combination of fairy tales of all kind : Sleeping Beauty, Rapunzel etc. Dreamworks has made this film in a comedy style, to make the viewers laugh and remember it. I give it 8/10, for me it's one of the precursors of next animated films. START!!! ~Somebody help! I've been kidnapped by a monster who's trying to relate to me! ~This is the part where you run away. Shrek 2 As we all know Shrek and Fiona have got married and now they are known as husband and wife. Shrek doesn't have any parents but Fiona? In this part our ogres will travel to Far Far Away Kingdom to meet Fiona's parents. What will they say when they find out that Fiona married an... ogre? In my opinion this is the best sequel of Shrek, so I'll give it 9/10. Puzzle : Shrek 4 (Forever After) Shrek had 3 babies. What were their names? 2 Prepared by Adrian Kunikowski Shrek 3 ~All right, nobody move! I've got a dragon here, and I'm not afraid to use it! Harold and Lilian have accepted Shrek, but guess what? Not an Ogre, but Prince Charming had to rescue Fiona from the tower! Now, when he's angry because Shrek took her princess, he decided to ambush and become the king of Far Far Away. Will our ogres and their friends defend Far Far Away? I think this film was pretty good, but I give it 7.5/10 because this time Dreamworks had to use fragments of King Arthur legend. One year after Shrek 3 our beloved ogre discovered the key to Armageddon his 3 babies celebrate their first birthday! Suddenly nothing goes as Shrek would like, so he dreams about the times before he rescued Fiona. He met a strange traveller, Rumpelstiltskin who was a solicitor. He made Shrek's an offer He'll give him a one "Ogre" day in exchange for a day when he was young, the day he couldn't remember. Shrek accepts the offer, but sadly after some time things go really bad. I don't want to spoil the suprise, but this movie, I think, was as good as the original one, 8/10.
