1 6th Grade Summer Reading Project School year Name: Due Date:
2 Dear Parent/Guardian, The end of the school year has arrived. It is time to gear up for summer, and as always, we in the Pottsville Area School District are striving to keep students reading throughout the summer. Reading for pleasure through summer instills in our children that reading is a pleasurable and lifelong activity. - Participation is mandatory, as you will receive an ELA grade in the first marking period for your efforts. - Each time you finish a category, you must fill out a short summary form and get your parent s signature. - The project will be due on the second Friday of the school year - Friday, September 7, You can learn more about the summer reading project requirements at Family Game Night on Wednesday, May 9, 2018 from 6:00-8:00 PM in the DHHL Cafeteria. - Feel free to the 6th grade teachers with any questions: - Miss Heather Jenkins: hjenkins@pottsville.k12.pa.us - Mrs. Katelynn Miller: kmiller@pottsville.k12.pa.us - Miss Kara Prock: kprock@pottsville.k12.pa.us Sincerely, Your 6th Grade ELA Department
