Now, man is destroying nature of its beauty, And it is hard to find it anywhere. The air we breath, Are from the trees. The water we drink, Are from the seven seas. 3 Page 3 That Tree Everyone speaks about it, whispering, gossiping, staring and wondering at that peculiar sight that shines a light that s very bright. It's stygian bark is sturdy, and is sheltered by a thick canopy of leaves, the leaves that produces chimes, which no other can mime, and with a distinct shape no other has, makes everyone stare at the conspicuous mass. A lot of birds visit that tree, making a lovely setting for a small home which is the dome to the protruding happiness of the tree, a happiness that cannot be paralleled to any other glee. Over the ranches its branches spread providing birds their comfy beds. But alas! One fine day when the tree looked so gay, the birds left away to the sparkling bay and the bees which made the everlasting fruits, made their mark, which is still left on the bark. The trees heart became gloomy for, It was a bizarre. But it still has something which is surprising - Its pulp and the ripened fruits, all of different sizes and colours just like a peacocks feathers. The fruits are the boon to the tree, just like the stars we just see. Elders say it's a message from the gods for, the eerie light so bright displays the vision of life. Only some can see it, which is no illusion but the reflection, the reflection of ones path in life.. Sagar H. S.

6 Page 6 Articles Field Trip My school announced a field trip on 9 th of November 2015 to Dubai. My parents granted permission to field trip. My lucky day came and I went to my field trip to Creek Park at Dubai. When we reached our destination we relaxed little an entered to the Dolphinarium where the Seals and Dolphins performed various funny shows. Those performances were really amazing. After the show we were standing in a long queue to the Mirror Maze, I dashed into the mirrors for more than ten times. The most confusing part was the exit. There were five exits four were mirrors and only one was the exit, finally I found it and came out excited. We went to the grass ground and had our lunch after that we entered the Exotic Bird show. They performed very well and it was epic. They were colourful, big, small, intelligent and funny birds. The last bird was a talking bird, its voice was funny. It was a pleasant and unforgettable journey to me. By evening we came back to Abu Dhabi, when I reached home shared all my experiences with my family and showed them the videos and pictures I captured. It was an amazing wonderful day in my life. I humbly thank my principle for organising this field trip. Haran Adhethiya VI F (Boys) 5 Habits of Organized Students Studying and reviewing material right after lecture, every day/ evening. A little bit of daily review will help avoid late-night cramming before any test. Make a study plan Setting personal deadlines 3-4 days before the actual deadline. This gives some extra time for any edits or even emergencies that could come. No more Ah, I have a 10-page essay due tomorrow! at 11 pm anymore!

7 Page 7 Using a good calendar/planner/organizer will help with seeing what s coming up and due in the next weeks. Keeping the room and bag tidy will help with distractions and feeling of clutter in my head. This is definitely a problem and often I spent more time cleaning my room before studying than doing actual work. These are just a few things that affect our concentration. Prioritizing tasks. Asking yourself, what s due the earliest and what s more important to get done? What can wait? What can I do later in the evening when my head isn t working as well? What do I need to be sharp and attentive for? How to Find Pirates Treasure Divsha Kiyasudeen VII - A (Girls) The rewards for pirates could be great. For instance, in 1820 the Mary Deer landed on the Cocos Islands in the Pacific Ocean. There the crew buried 12,000 gems, 7 treasure chests of golden ornaments and 9,000 gold coins. Having buried their loot, they se fire to the ship and rowed off in longboats. However, when they reached land, they were all arrested. None of the crew could return to dig up their treasure because they were imprisoned. It has not been recovered since - though many have tried! If I was called in to help discover pirate treasure in the Cocos Islands, I would have a number of ways to find the treasure: First of all, I would identify all the places the treasure might have been hidden. This would include sandy areas, caves, lakes, and places where it might have been buried near the shoreline. I would check that the shoreline had not changed so that we were not looking in the wrong place! Next, I would use diggers to dredge up all the sand and sift it so that the grains fell back onto the sand and larger objects are retained. I would also use enormous magnets to help identify any metallic objects so that I could distinguish metal from other materials. Also, I would have a team of workers using metal detectors crisscrossing other areas near the shoreline. Any sign of metal would cause the detectors to sound and identify where we need to dig and explore further.

8 Page 8 Finally, I would use sound waves to identify unusual objects lying below the surface because the pirates might have buried the treasure quite deep. This would also be needed because so much time has passed since the treasure was buried it could be under many layers of earth and silt. I know it is unlikely that I will be called in to search for pirate treasure because I am not famous for discovering much. In fact, the only discovery I am known for was the time when our cat stole a chunk of Cheddar from the fridge and I found it hiding behind the kitchen door.
