Interview with Mr. Thomasma Shnayly Oriza Q: What is your favorite part of your job? A: My favorite part of my job is talking with the students and the teachers and seeing their academic and spiritual goal grow. Q: Why did you decide to work at a Catholic school instead of a public school? A: In Catholic Schools we have a better chance of exploring our faith. Q: What is one new thing you would like to see in our school? A: I would like to see a more hands on learning experience. I prefer to actually do it instead of always reading about it. A: I ve been subbing at IHM for approximately 25 years. Q: Have been enjoying IHM? A: Yes, I have been enjoying IHM and all of the students. Q : Have you ever taught a full time teaching job? Where? A: Yes, I taught in Manhattan, Kansas. Q : What is your favorite part of IHM? A: My favorite part of IHM is the students and teachers. Everyone thinks of me as family and it makes me feel wanted and needed. I feel blessed to have such a long family. 1 Interview with Mr. Meerman Andrew McCall & Joe Grogan Q: What is your favorite Sport? A: My favorite sport is beach volleyball. Q: How have you liked IHM so far? A: I enjoy everything about IHM. I love teaching PE here. Q: How long have you been a basketball coach? A: I have been a coach at Catholic Central for 3 years, but have been a coach for 8 years total. Q: How long have you been working at Public schools? A: I have been teaching for 8 years. Q: What is your favorite college or professional team? A: I enjoy Duke basketball. Coach K is one of the best coaches in the NCAA. Mr. Meerman

A: I enjoy the freedom to share the faith with everyone that comes here. Q: What is your favorite part of your job? A: My favorite part of my job is doing something different everyday. Q: What is the hardest part of your job? A: The hardest part of my job is seeing problems that can t be fixed. Q: What is one new thing you would like to see in our school? A: I would like to see a slushie machine and a huge choral music program. Mrs. Lowe Mrs. Brecken Interview with Mrs. Brecken Emma Koncki & Shnayly Oriza Q: What is your favorite part of your job A: My favorite part is talking about Jesus and working with great people. I love when the whole school is at Mass together. I also love Mrs. Lowe (we laugh a lot). Q: Why did you decide to work at a Catholic school instead of a public school? A: I am able to talk about my faith and live it out. Q: What is the hardest part of your job? A: The hardest part is watching the 8th graders leave after they graduate. Q: What is one new thing you would like to see in our school? A: I would like to see air conditioning. Interview with Mrs. Peltier Shnayly Oriza Q: Why did you decide to work at a catholic school instead of a public school? A: I decided to work at Catholic schools because of the students. Q: What is your favorite part of your job? A: I went to Catholic school and I love Catholic schools. At a Catholic school, we can pray to Jesus anytime we want. Q: What is the hard part of your job? A: Getting up early every morning. Q: What is one new thing you would like to see in our school? A: I would like to see air conditioning for the hot days. Mrs. Peltier 2

Q: If you could play any sport pro with any pro team what would it be? Why? A: Football, and the team would be the Detroit Lions. I love the feeling of beating people. Q: How's playing in the GRACEAC league? Would you change anything? A: I make it look easy. Yes, I would change the teams we play so we could play some different teams. Q: How long have you been playing sports at IHM? A: I have been playing sports at IHM for 3 years. Q: Are you going to be sad when you leave your IHM sports career? A: No, because I am going to take my talent to CC. Q: Can you describe what it's like being a leader on and off the field? A: I'm not usually a leader, people scare me. Leaders should not be scared of other people, that's why I'm not a great leader. 3

Q: How often do you have practice for sports, and how long? A: Twice a week; usually 1 and a half to 2 hours. Q: What sports do you intend to play at Catholic Central? A: Soccer and maybe basketball. Q: What is your favorite sport? Why? A: Soccer, because I have the most fun and I get to push people down. Q: Do you like being on a team with people from other schools? If so, why? A: Yes, because you will eventually play with some of them in high school. Q: What advice can you give to upcoming players? A: Always try your best, be on time, listen to coaches, and have fun!" 4

Q: Is it ever hard to manage your schoolwork while playing so many sports? A: Yes. It can be tough when I m playing two sports at a time because I have to go to practice while doing homework in the car between them. Q: What is your favorite sport to play? Why? A: My favorite sport to play is basketball because we have to work together as a team in order to achieve our goal. Q: What is your favorite position to play in this sport? A: The point guard position is my favorite. Q: If you had to pick a least favorite sport (that you play), what sport would you pick? Why? A: I would choose baseball as my least favorite sport because the game is too slow for me. Q: Will you miss playing sports at IHM? A: Yes! 5

Abby Talaga: Daddy s Home Joe Grogan: Star Wars: The Force Awakens Grace Collins: The Martian Kalib Perry : Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 Matt Ferro: Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice Lucy Miles: Minions Q: Next year, Mr. Thomasma might include ties and blazers in the dress code. Would you consider wearing these and why? Olivia Lott: I would consider wearing only the jackets, but only on Wednesdays for Mass. Joe Grogan: I would like it because it would makes you feel more mature, and it seems comfortable. Grace Vicari: No, I would not want to wear a blazer or a tie. Dominic Vicari: Yes, so I could start a fashion trend. 6
7 Opinion Q: What is the best compliment that you have ever received? Erin Liszewski: One time this stranger said that I was pretty, but not in a weird way. Joey Grey: I am great at Pokemon. Matthew Ferro : You are good at running. Bryce Plachecki: After my first piano recital, some random person said that I was amazing at playing. Jack Klafeta: You hit very hard. (in football). 8 Q : How did you like it at Spring Hill? A : John Passinault: It was fun because I got bonding time with my friends. Grace Vicari: It was awesome because the bungee jumping was a new experience. Q : What was the most exciting thing you did? A : John Passinault: The solo challenge because I got to jump from a really high place. Grace Vicari: Zip lining, because it was really fast, and I got to go over a lake! Q : Did anything funny happen? A : John: When we went canoeing, we were allowed to splash each other, and water went into the boats. Grace: Yes, we played Hunger Games, and I got hit in the butt by Patrick. Q : What did you get out of it? A : Grace: I learned to face my fears especially on the solo challenge. Q : How was the food? A : John: The food was amazing! Grace: The breakfast was not my favorite, but the lunch was amazing! 8
