2 A LITTLE HISTORY In 2002 the original Hollywood Playhouse, and previously infamous Palace, was transformed by a state-of-the-art face lift; orchestrated at the hands of owner John Lyons. Without compromising the Spanish Colonial architecture of this historic space, Avalon was born and has grown into one of the most prestigious venues for live performances & events. Avalon has been home to the Beatles' first west coast performance and the first broadcast of the American Music Awards. The list of performers is legendary: Rolling Stones, Nirvana, Madonna, Jerry Lewis, James Brown, Frank Sinatra to current entertainers such as Snoop Dogg, Justin Timberlake and the Black Eyed Peas to name a few.

Lighting control is dmx 512 with 4 universes on the pearl and Showcad Artist, plus an additional 2 Universes on showcad for in house LED Fixtures. 8 Universes are also available on stage via Artnet and can be programmed via Showcad or 3 rd party controller. Visiting LD s may bring their own desk Re-focusing, re-circuiting and re-patching strongly discouraged on the dimming system due to the sensitivity of the preserved Original dimming network, but may be allowed for multiple dates and film/television shoots Re-gelling allowed on a limited basis- please notify in advance so that we can have it ready for you. 11 BARDOT Nestled on the second floor of the Avalon lies the sanctuary we call Bardot. Influenced by the roaring 20's, Bardot boasts three spaces in which to gather. The Lounge Bar features tufted banquettes against dimly lit golden ocher walls where food and drink can be enjoyed in privacy. The Courtyard rests under the stars with its charcoal wood flooring, assortment of vintage oil portraits and rich cordovan color brushed on the walls. The Tented Bar adds to the oasean ambience with its magnificent textiles, sconces, and chandeliers. Capacity: 400
