Description, Indexation, Access to Sound and Ethnomusicological Documents This project gathers ethnomusicologists, acousticians and computer engineers to implement tools for the automated detection of specific sound events within large corpuses of audio data. Contribution: create samples, conduct tests, results analysis, report writing, publication Potent Places in Southeast Asia This project brings together scholars to dialogue on the notion of space as defined and constructed in some Southeast Asian cultures. Contribution: participation in the seminar, research, publication. Fieldwork Experience 2017 Cambodia, Phnom Penh and Thailand, Bangkok, June and July. Research in rural and urban areas, mostly in Cambodia on classical Khmer musical theater, for the Autoritas Program France, Aix-en-Provence (2015) and Lyon (2016). Research on Contemporary dance creation by artists trained in Khmer classical theater Thailand, Chiang Mai and Bangkok, Cambodia, Phnom Penh. Fieldtrips in Cambodia and research on the institutionalized performing arts in Thailand while based in Thailand US, Boston (MA). While teaching in Boston, conducting research in Cambodian communities of Lowell and Lynn Cambodia, Phnom Penh (Jan May 2007; Apr.-May 2008; Nov. 2011). Fieldwork in rural areas in Kandal Province and Phnom Penh to collect data on ritual theater for my doctoral dissertation Cambodia, Phnom Penh (7 months). Fieldwork on pinpeat music, shadow theater and art performances in urban setting for my master thesis.
