Oestreich Concerto Competition : Under the baton of conductor and founder John Parfrey, we took our first musical steps with tried-and-true pieces from the Baroque and early Classical eras, and cut our teeth with a few experimental forays into the 20th century. We ventured into music from the late Classical and Romantic eras, while maintaining a firm foothold in both classical and contemporary music. These smaller ensembles will visit a variety of genres that, taken together, provide a complete musical experience -- much in the same way that beautiful moments are the foundation for lasting memories. 5 We're celebrating four decades of making classical music accessible to Milwaukee-area audiences, talented volunteer musicians, and young performers. We're honored to have been part of so many musical moments. For our anniversary year, we surveyed our musicians and audience members, and we're revisiting some of your favorite pieces from each decade of our performances. We'll kick it off with cake in October and have special guests and other surprises throughout the season.
