Excerpts for String Orchestra and Sinfonia, played at marked tempos.. Sight reading Sinfonia: Full, clear tone Fluency through 3 rd position; proficiency in th and 5 th position Sibelius: Karelia Overture = 112 Time Signature: Allegro moderato.

Two prepared pieces, one slow and one fast, preferably an etude, sonata or concerto movement. Selected pieces should be from the Classical era or later and be well-played, polished and at appropriate tempo (an All-State etude may be used as one selection). 3. Excerpts for Sinfonia and Philharmonia, played at marked tempos. Philharmonia: Mature string tone and vibrato skills Fluency through 5 th position Holst: Ballet music from The Perfect Fool 3 = approx. 10 Time Signature: Tempo I o (Allegro moderato)
