1. General principle P Installer application This application allows the installer to configure all ult video modules. The user gets the opportunity to assign a name to external cameras, switches, Fasttel videophones and ult. Equipment can also be deleted or added. You'll find this software application, user software and manuals on the micro SD card supplied inside the ult under the directory Softwareult. ULT This manual includes a practical example which is explained in full so that you will gain a clear understanding of the structure of a typical Fasttel installation. In case something is not quite clear to you, please continue reading until the end of the manual. Then the structure will become clear to you. When the ult leaves the factory, it is not configured. By means of this software, you will set all functions of every ult, which cameras it must be able to display and which cameras not, which relays it may switch and which not. When you have finished, you will save the settings on the micro SD card of the ult using your computer. You will do so for each ult appliance, and then insert the appropriate SD card into the specific ult appliance. The ult will always check whether there is new software on the SD card. When this is the case, it will automatically and immediately load this into its memory, and the configuration is completed. 2. Overview After the application has been started up, the following screen is displayed. At the top, it shows 5 menus, 9 icons (toolbar), 6 file tabs and below it has a status bar. onnection diagram P Installer application Fasttel België, Spieveldstraat 24, 9160 Lokeren, Belgium Phone +32 (0) , info@fasttel.be Fasttel Nederland, Heiligenboom 3, 5066 B Moergestel, The Netherlands. 2 The application show a list of cameras, their type (analogue or IP) and their name. The name can be changed, cameras can be deleted or added. IOs Here you have an overview of all inputs and outputs (relays) of the connected switches that have not been defined as a camera. Switches FT8SW This file tab shows an overview of the switches mentioning always their name and LON code. The names can be modified. Switches can be deleted or added. General Here, you can enter 2 commands (strings) to be executed, which the ult should carry out when switching between a telephone call and a door call and vice versa. Here, you can also compose a quad image. Outposts (Wizard Elite or Elegance) An outpost has a name, a LON address and a number of buttons and an internal phone number. Outposts can be deleted or added, and their number of buttons can be adapted. The name of an outpost can be changed, and also each individual button can get a name. An internal or external camera can be assigned to each outpost. The images of this camera will be shown on the video module, when someone rings at the outpost. Inposts (ult) Each ult has a name, a LON address and a video input as well as an internal phone number. ults can be deleted or added. Their name can be adapted, and an analogue camera or a camera coming from a switch can be coupled to their video input. For each ult, also a list of available cameras will be provided. These are the cameras for which the image can be retrieved through the menu of the ult. IP cameras can also be added to this list. Analogue cameras can only be added when they have been coupled to the video input of the ult (whether or not via a switch). Each ult has also a list of ringtones. A ringtone is coupled to a button of an outpost, and comprises a sound file which must be run when that particular button is pressed. Menu File: with this, you can start, save a new configuration, or open the most recent one. 3. onfiguration Let us take a practicle example in order to explain the software in more detail: A property has at its gate a Wizard Elite fitted with camera and 2 call buttons, called Office and Private. At the right hand top corner, there is an external IP camera. At the house inside the property, there is a second Wizard Elite fitted with camera and one button. At the garage of the house there is a simple push button. Inside the house, we have 1 ult in the living room. Furthermore, the control device at the gate is equipped with an 'open/closed' status indication. Furthermore, the door phones and ult are connected to the telephone exchange with the following internal call numbers: Wizard Elite gate : 28 Wizard Elite house : 27 ult living room : 25 The configuration comprises 4 steps: Which cameras are present? What is connected to the switch's inputs and outputs? Which outposts (Wizards) do I have? Which ults do I have? 3.1 ameras So, in this practicle example there are 3 cameras, that is: A built in analogue camera at the gate. We call this one 'Wizam gate'. An external IP camera at the gate. We call this one 'Extam gate'. A built in analogue camera at the house. We call this one 'Wizam house'. In the application, we can configure these cameras using omponents > add camera or using the icon with the camera in the toolbar. Then we obtain the following screen: Menu omponents: with this, you can add new cameras, switches, outposts and ults. You can also do this using the yellow icons below them. Menu Export: this is used to copy the setting to the SD card of the ult or to HTML for a clear overview of what you have programmed. Menu View: with this, you can switch off certain bars. Menu Help: displays the software version. Toolbar (icons): from left to right, you see, New, Open, Save, Add camera, Add switch, Add outpost (wizard), Add inpost (ult), Export to SD card and export to HTML. Tab cards: these give you a clear overview of the settings. It is also possible to make changes from here by double clicking on the name of a camera, switch, outpost or inpost.
We repeat the same procedure for the camera at the house. For configuring the IP camera at the gate, we proceed as follows: Select analogue camera and click on Next. Select IP camera and click on Next. Enter the name of the first camera and click on Finish. Attention : Make connection from Windows 7: adapt default settings: ontrol Panel Administrative Tools Local Security Policy Local Policies Security Options : o Network security: LAN Manager authentication level Send LM & NTLM responses o Minimum session security for NTLM SSP Disable Require 128 bit encryption Here, we enter name, IP address, username and password of the IP camera, and then click on Finish. In case with Axis camera: Port: port number of the camera/server AXIS argument string. A help dialogue is available explaining all possible parameters (of the AXIS site). The resolution must be 320x240. The other options can be set freely (position of text, colour of the text, display of date/time, rotation of the camera, etc.) In this way, the first camera has been configured.
Here we enter the name and Lon address (default 0x01) In case you want to integrate or to control more than 8 cameras or relays, more switches can be added, each with a different LON address. In this way, the 3 cameras have been created. When double clicking a camera, you can change certain parameters again. When pressing the Delete key on your keyboard, this camera will be deleted. 3.2 Switches The switch (ref FT8SW) will be used for switching the video signals, active its dry relays (for example opening the gates), for informing the status of the gate (open or closed) or to integrate an external pushbutton (see also figure on the last page). The video signal of the door phone at the gate is connected to the first output of the switch, the video signal of the house is connected to the second output. We use the last output (8) for controlling the gate. Output 1 is of the type 'Analogue camera and select Wizam gate Output 2 is of the type 'Analogue camera and select Wizam house'. Tip: We can use the other 5 relays e.g for activating lights and/or other control devices. Thus for instance, these 5 outputs can be connected to the inputs of any domotis system. In this way, you can connect switches in parallel to the LON bus so that with each switch you get an additional 8 inputs and 8 outputs. The first input is used to know the status of the gate. The IP camera at the gate is directly connected to the hub of the available network. In the application, we can configure it through omponents > Add switch or using the icon in the toolbar. Output 8 is of the type 'Output'. Select Name and choose <new>.
Enter a name for the control of the gate, and click on OK. Next, we can also define the five free outputs: Relay 3: Lights dinner Relay 4: Watching TV Relay 5: garden lighting Relay 6: alarm on Relay 7: alarm off lick on OK. Tip: Save your work regularly! It might be practical that you save the file as 'namecustomer_date'. Next, we determine the inputs. In this example, this is the status of the gate. Select Name and choose <new>. Select the tab card Switches, and click on + next to the name 'Switch1'. Enter a name for the status of the gate, and click on OK. On the third input we connect the external push button on the garage and give it the name external button garage. Now, you will get an overview of what has been created. When double clicking on the name of the switch, you can change the parameters again. When pressing the Delete key on your keyboard, the switch will be deleted.
So, when you have more than 8 analogue cameras or when you want to realise more than eight control actions, you'll need an additional FT8SW. Then you must assign these another LON address. 3.3 Tab card General When you are making a phone call with the outside world using a ult, the latter will warn you through the LON bus about the presence of a visitor when he/she rings at a Wizard door phone. In order to put the phone conversation on hold and to answer the door call, you must normally carry out a number of actions (codes). These code are different for every telephone exchange. cameras should not be connected to the switching module FT8SW but indeed directly to the Quad switch or VR. In that case, the relays of the FT8SW will only act as a 'trigger' to that appliance so that it returns the image to the ult through its output. 3.4 Outposts (Wizard outposts) In the application, we can configure these through omponents > Add outpost or using the icon in the toolbar. In this tab card, you can enter two strings to be carried out, so that this switching forth and back can be done by pressing a key only once and so that the end user does not have to remember and carry out the codes him /herself. Under 'transfer code', you enter the code for taking over a door call whenever you are busy on an outside call. With the Siemens 1120, this is *57. Under 'information text', you enter text indicating this action, e.g. 'take over door call'. If required, you can enter several strings to be carried out. These all will then be in a to do list. Under 'transfer return code', you enter the code for returning from your Wizard outpost to the phone call. In the Siemens 1120, this is *0. areful: hence, these *57 and *0 depend on the telephone exchange. Enter a name, LON address, internal phone number and the number of pushbuttons for the door phone at the gate, and click on 'Next'. You will see that in practice there are 3 possibilities when you are making an outside call and a door call enters the same time: 1. by pressing 'refuse', you refuse the door call. 2. By pressing 'redirect', you will see a selection menu so as e.g. to take on the door call or e.g. to redirect the door call to an answering machine. 3. By pressing 'End and change over', you terminate the outside call, and the door phone is immediately called back automatically. Give a name to every button. Furthermore, you can also define quad cameras here from the already created analogue cameras. In that case, the switch to which those cameras have been defined will then switch the corresponding relay at the same time. In that case, you will require an appliance that reads these relays as inputs and that is able to process these inputs by displaying them as a quad image, for instance a quad switch or rather reliable digital surveillance equipment (VR). Please contact Fasttel for the right choice in this respect. In that case, the
Assign a camera to the door phone (= what image must be displayed when a button is pressed), and click on >. For the door lock of this door phone, you select one of the outputs already created. lick on 'Finish'. Door lock code: when the output selected at the 'Doorslot switch' is not connected to one of the 2 hot keys at the right hand top corner of a ult later on, the text you enter here will be displayed on the screen of that ult all the same. In that way, the user has a prompt to enter the right code immediately for opening the right door. In practice, this is mostly something like #004, so that you operate the fourth relay of the FT8SW switch with LON address 0. You will need this, when: 1. you have no FT8SW switch. Then you must enter here 2, because that is the standard code for opening the gate directly through a Wizard. 2. Or when you would like to use both hot keys of the ult for something different than opening the gate at the Wizard we create now. E.g. the gates of 2 more frequently used Wizards or any other control action you consider more important or which you use more often. 3. If neither of both cases described above applies, you just leave this field blank. As a prompt, the Now, you will get an overview of what has been created. When double clicking on the selected outpost, you can change certain parameters. When pressing the Delete key on your keyboard, this outpost will be deleted. In this way, the outposts have been defined. Now, we still have to configure the ults. 3.5 Inposts (ult) In the application, we can configure these through omponents > Add inpost or by using the icon in the toolbar. correct relay symbol of the hot key concerned will automatically appear ( or.). The same procedure is repeated for the doorphone at the house. However, it is important that the LON address is set at 0x02. Furthermore, the internal phone number is set at 47 and the number of button at 1. However, the house does not have a doorlock. Next, select the tab card 'Outposts', and click on +.
Enter a name, LON address, internal phone number and optionally IP address, subnet mask and Gateway for the ult, and click on Next. You should only complete the Network part when you want to integrate the ult into the network. In this case, it is required because of an IP camera being present. In the case of analogue cameras, cable compensation can be entered (especially important with colour cameras). lick on Next. Remark: when configuring several ults, the LON address and phone number must always be different. In the window below, we determine which cameras can be viewed using this ult through the menu 'ameras'. Select the source of the analogue cameras using the Switch 'Switch1'. If you do not have the Switch module, you choose the right camera through 'analog camera'. Then the ult will only display the image of that camera when it receives a call from the wizard to which this camera is connected. The ult will not see this on the basis of a LON code but instead on LIP from that wizard. In the right hand top corner of the ult, you see 2 relay symbols. By pressing these for 2 seconds, the ult can switch two relays of the FT8SW switching module. We will assign which outputs these will be through Buttons. In our example, it only concerns the gate. hoose the switch called 'Switch1', and select the output Relay gate. Next, select the desired cameras, and each time click on >. In this case, we select all cameras. The following result is obtained: As already mentioned, the status 'Open' and 'losed' can be displayed when your port control is equipped for this. In that case, the relay icons will flash permanently. Through LED we will determine which input of the switching module will be assigned to them.
hoose the switch called 'Switch1', and select the input status gate. lick on 'Finish'. Tip: the attentive reader will have understood by now that retrieving the camera images through the ult menu and the switching of the 2 relays through the 2 relay icons at the right hand top corner of the ult essentially boils down to the same: always an output of the FT8SW switching module is activated. The same applies to the table 'ontrol actions'. Here you select the outputs you would like to see in the ult menu 'ontrol actions'. Only the ones you select here will be visible and hence can be used. For this ult Living room, you select all. When someone rings at your Fasttel outpost, for each outpost and for each button a standard ringtone or any other MP3 can be played! Hence, if required, you can play your own spoken message when someone rings at the door, so that you know immediately which doorpost and which pushbutton was used. Select all of some of the outputs in the table 'Sturingen'. Only the ones selected here will be displayed and be usable via this ult. In Ringtones, select under Outpost the door phone, under button the call button, and in Sound the desired ring signal. You can select an MP 3 file through <Browse>. Here we can also choose a ringtone for the external push button connected on the switch1. The second button of the gate and the first button of the entrance are still to be done. Thus, we obtain the following screen: With this the ult Living room has been defined. When double clicking on the selected inpost, you can change certain parameters. When pressing the Delete key on your keyboard, this inpost will be deleted. When clicking on +, you'll see an overview of the parameters.
In case you have several ults, create these in the same way and determine how they will behave and what they can display. Important: Now, click only once on the name of the ult, that is 'Living room' so that it lights with a blue colour. Through clicking on the icon 'Export to SD card' or through Export > Export to SD card, you search for the Micro SD card, and you put the file in the root of the card. Now, when you insert the micro SD card in the appropriate ult, the latter will automatically load the file in its memory, and the ult is ready for use. In case you have several ults, you must do this for every ult. Make a back up of the file for yourself through File > Save as, and preferably give the file the name of your customer and ult together with the date, e.g. Obama_living_ ult connections You can also export the setting to an HTML page using the icon 'Export to HTML' or through Export > Export to HTML for an even more explicit total overview. 3.6 LON odes Furthermore, for a perfect functioning, certain codes in the door phones, switch and telephone exchange must be programmed. However, it is important that everything is connected as is shown in the figure on the last page. Must be programmed in the doorphones (consult a.o. thewizard and FT8SW manuals): Wizard gate: enter user code #21 (continuous camera image) once during a conversation using this Wizard. programming codes (after having entered *1996*): (when pressing the first button, output 1 is switched) (when pressing the 2 nd button, output 1 is switched as well) 121 (wizard emits ID codes across LON bus) 8*00 (only once, address FT8SW is 0) 8#01 (address of this Wizard is 1) 191 (activate video delay and IO delay) 6#10 (duration of video delay = 10 sec) With these two last codes, you set the Wizard so that it will keep the camera activated for 10 seconds after the conversation has ended. Wizard entrance hall: user code #21 (continuous camera image) programming codes (after having entered *1996*): (when pressing the first button, output 2 is switched) 121 (wizard emits ID codes) 8#02 (address of this Wizard is 2) 191 (activate video delay and IO delay) 6#10 (duration of video delay = 10 sec) Telephone exchange : activate LIP on all internal extensions. The ults have their LON address assigned though the created file in which you entered the LON address yourself. 3.8 Diagram From left to right: o RING + TIP = to phone line or telephone exchange o GND + LON = LON cabling: to FT8SW switch module or to Wizard series. o Ethernet connection.
