10 INITIAL SETTING These peratins are accessible by remte cntrl. Sme may als be accessible by cntrls n the main unit. Initial Setup This sectin will guide yu thrugh the unit s initial setting which includes selecting a language f yur n-screen menu and AUTO PRESET, which autmatically scans and memizes viewable channels. Befe yu begin: Make sure if the unit is cnnected t antenna cable. 1 After making all the necessary cnnectins, press [POWER] t turn n the unit. POWER This peratin may take a few mments. 2 Use [ K / L] [ X] t select the n-screen language frm the chices n the left side f the TV screen. (ENGLISH / ESPAÑOL / FRANÇAIS) Nte: If yu cnnect the cable system directly, cntact the CATV installer. If yu press [POWER] [] during AUTO PRESET, this setting will be canceled. The initial aut channel scan functin can be executed f either TV/DTV CATV nly nce. If yu want t scan bth TV/DTV and CATV, yu need t select ANNEL SETUP in the main menu t scan and memize ther channels after initial presetting is cmpleted. (Refer t page 11.) Yu can cancel exit the initial AUTO PRESET menu by pressing []. When n channel can be received by AUTO PRESET, NO TV SIGNALS is displayed n the TV screen. This is nt a prblem with the unit. The captin text characters will nt be displayed while the main menu functins display is shwn. If a black bx appears n the TV screen, this means that the clsed captin is set t the text mde. T clear the bx, select C1, C2 OFF. If the unit receives p quality televisin signals, the captins may cntain errs, there might be n captins at all.
