At preent, reception for thee digital televiion tation in High Definition i only poible in ome countrie in Europe. Thi televiion can receive and proce all analogue and all unencrypted digital tation. Thi televiion et ha an integrated digital and analogue receiver. The digital receiver unit convert the ignal from digital tation to provide outtanding audio and picture quality. The TV guide (only for digital tation) tell you of any chedule change at hort notice, and provide an overview of all the tation chedule for the next few day. Detailed information on the individual tation if it i provided by the broadcater i alo available in the electronic programme guide. Receiving digital tation To receive digital tation you need a digital rooftop or indoor antenna (paive or active indoor antenna with it own power upply). Unlike analogue broadcating, not every tation ha it own tranmiion frequency. Intead, everal tation are grouped into what are known a bouquet on a regional or national level. You can find the current tranmiion information on teletext from variou broadcater, or look in a TV guide or on the Internet. What i Common Interface? Common Interface (CI) i an interface for DVB receiver. Encoded tation can only be viewed with a CA module uitable for the encoding ytem and the correponding mart card. The televiion et i equipped with a Common Interface lot into which CA module from variou provider can be inerted. You can inert the provider mart card into the CA module in order to enable the encrypted tation you want to ee. 6

7 CONNECTION/PREPARATION Connecting the antenna and the main cable 2 3 Plug the cable of the rooftop or indoor antenna (paive or active indoor antenna with it own power upply for digital televiion tation) into the antenna ocket»ant IN«on the tele - viion et; or plug the rooftop antenna cable (for analogue televiion tation) into the»ant IN«ocket on the televiion. When connecting an indoor antenna you may have to try it out at different poition until you get the bet reception. 2 Plug the main cable upplied into the»ac IN«main ocket of the televiion. 3 Plug the main cable into the wall ocket. Only plug the device into the main ocket after you have connected the external device and the antenna. Only connect the televiion uing the power cord upplied to a uitable earthed afety ocket.
