4 1 What is the BRS-200? The BRS-200 is an all-in-one live production and presentation switcher with BRC Series control functionality. 29 8 Switcher Operation This section explains how to execute the BRS-200 s switcher functions. 8-1) Outline Picture-in-Picture (PIP). This illustration shows the structure of the images to be switched or composed by video switching. Background video Foreground video PIP video Background video The background video is an image before you apply an effect such as Wipe and Mix. This image disappears as the effect progresses. Foreground video The foreground video is an image to be inserted by applying an effect such as Wipe or Mix. This image appears as the effect progresses and is switched with the background video. PIP (Picture-in-Picture) video The PIP video is an image to be placed over a background video (and a foreground video while the effect is being applied). DSK FILL (Downstream key fill) video DSK SOURCE (Downstream key source) video The DSK SOURCE video is an image to determine the area of a DSK fill video that is being composed. This is also referred to as a key.
