Well, I am tall and athletic. I play different sport: basketball, football, and soccer. I have brown hair and hazel eyes. My friends say I am friendly and nice. I am very open. Describing Personalities English language has a variety of words for describing people, their personality, character and temperament. These words can be categorized into words that describe a person s general behavior and outlook, attitude towards others, attitude towards money and property, and his view of life. In this ESL lesson you will learn how to describe someone s personality and character. The following is a list of adjectives for describing someone s personality, character traits and temperament. Examples: My cousin Tom has the most amazing personality I have ever seen in my life. He is a level-headed person. He never rushes into things and he carefully weighs up his options before he acts. His friend and family know that he is very balanced and never jumps to conclusions. Tom's best characteristic is his cheerfulness and unprecedented sense of humor. It Tom's best characteristic he always manages to cheer up everybody. People automatically gravitate to him when we are out- he is always the life and soul of any party. However, my relative tends to be quite stubborn -once he has made a decision, nothing can change his mind. Tom has shown great strength in decision making. ll in all, I'm glad to have Tom as my cousin. It is a pleasure to be with him and I really enjoy his company. Writing Look deeply at the pictures below. Based on the photograph write a paragraph consists of not more than 50 words. Note down their personality, occupation, lifestyle, interests and their view of life, and etc. Number one has already done for you. She is a bit scruffy and very informal. She looks friendly and cheerful. Maybe she is a student. She probably lives in a flat or house with similar people (the house is a mess). She is around 22 to 23 years old. I think she has lots of friends. She travels a lot and goes out a lot. She also looks musical or artistic. Further, she s probably very talk-active. Strength is a good or beneficial quality or attribute of a person. Weakness is the state or quality of being weak or unable to do something. One example of a person s strength/good quality is sincere; whereas example of person s weakness is bad-tempered. Instruction: 1. Draw a star- a big star. 2. Write an essay which describe your strengths and weaknesses then give them example or illustration why you consider this as your strength/weakness. 5. Discuss also what you ve done or things you re going to do to improve your strengths and to decrease your weaknesses. 6.
