Dear Sirs, This Institute invites sealed tender/quotation from reputed firms for printing of Scientific Books, Journals, Newsletters, Bulletins etc., of this Institute. The sealed tenders should reach to this office 4.00 p.m. on The envelope containing tenders should be super scribed as tenders for printing of Scientific Books, Journals, Newsletters, Bulletins etc., due on failing which the tenders will have the risk of the firm for not being considered. You are requested to submit your most competitive rates for as the specification given below: Name of the publication Process of Printing Style of binding Printing schedule : Annual Report, News letter, Books, Bulletins, Folders, Proceeding etc., in English/Hindi : Off- Set Printing. : After folding, gathering, colleting, the publication will be section seven with thread, cover pasted in the inner publications as the case may be and out finished. : All printed copies duly bound are required within 20 days after the menu script is delivered to the press or as per schedule made by the Institute. a. Complete proofs of the text matter duly ready and corrected with one proof reading at your end to be supplied on your paper within 10 days from the date of sending the manuscript. b. Complete manuscript (B/W/Colour) computer print is required as proof before final printing. c. Further date wise schedule for the remaining items of work will be arrived at by mutual discussion with the press. Packing and Forwarding : Printed and bound copies in the packets of 20 copies each, duly packed in strong and heavy weight craft papers must be supplied to the Institute on F.O.R., IIPR, Kanpur basis.

4 Terms & Conditions 1. Rates quoted should be FOR delivery at IIPR, Kalyanpur, Kanpur inclusive of packing, freight charges etc. 2. Rates quoted should be firm and valid for a period of one year from the date of opening of the tender. No escalation rates will be admissible during the period contract. 3. Printed copies as per our supply order must be delivered at the IIPR, Kanpur within 20 days of the supply of manuscript. 4. The printing and binding job will be given for a specific period and the supply should be completed within the stipulated date & time. Falling which it will be at the risk of the firm and no payment will release for not supplying within the stipulated time. 5a. The firm will be fully responsible for timely completion of proof reading. They should contact once a week for proof reading & the number of proof reading should not be more than two, unless otherwise called for. 5b. Complete computer print (B/W/Colour) is required as proof before final printing. 6. Tender offer should be accompanied by a Bank Draft/Banker s Cheque for 10,000/- (Rs. Ten thousand only) drawn in favour of ICAR Unit, IIPR, Kanpur and payable at State Bank of India, Kalyanpur, Kanpur as earnest money (Refundable). In the event of failure to take up the work after acceptance of rates OR to compete the work satisfactorily in accordance with the terms and conditions of the printing arrangement, the amount of the earnest money is liable to be forfeited by the Director, IIPR, Kanpur and his decision in the matter shall be final and binding. 7. The successful tenderer will have to deposit Rs.50000/- as security money in the form of DD/FDR/Bank guarantee drawn in favour of ICAR Unit IIPR payable at Kanpur issued by any nationalized bank. 8. The firm should also quote rates of different size and weight of papers mentioning the brands of at least two companies alongwith specimen. 9. A soft copy (PDF format) of the publications must be supplied alongwith printed copies. 10. All original photographs CD/Floppy shall be the property of the Institute and must be handed over to the Institute alongwith printed copies. 11. Failure to observe the prescribed procedure and any attempt to canvas for the work will lead to rejection of the tender. 12. The Director, Indian Institute of Pulses Research, Kanpur is not bound to accept the quotation OR any quotation OR to assign any reason for rejection of any of all the tenders. He also reserves the right of accepting the whole or part of quoter. His decision in the matter shall be final and binding upon the quoter. 13. The printing arrangement may be terminated at any stage of the work at the discretion of the Director, Indian Institute of Pulses Research, Kanpur without assigning any reason thereof, and payment will be made for the work considered satisfactory. His decision in all such matters shall be final and binding upon quotations. 14. No regulars contract as such will be drawn up, and acceptance by the Institute of the quotations of the selected press shall constitute a valid contract for the enforcement of the terms and conditions till the successful completion of the job. 15. Sealed quotation offers fully complying with above acquirements must reach this office up to p.m. on Bill must be produced in regular printed bills, computerized bill will not be accepted. 17. Firms should also proved evidence of their being income Tax assesses and other vital documents required. 18. There should be no cuttings/overwriting. The cutting, if any should be duly attested. Non attested/ amended/overwriting figures will not be considered. 19. Quotation received in an unsealed over or received after the due date and those which are

5 ambiguous are liable to be rejected. 20. All communications must be addressed to the undersigned by DESIGNATION ONLY and not by name. 21. This Institute reserves the right to reject and /or all the quotations (s) received without assigning any reason thereof. 22. If the number of pages in publication exceeds number of pages mentioned in office order, printer must obtain a revised order before raising the bill. 23. If the printing of publication is not up to the specification, the entire lot of the same will be rejected without any payment. 24. ITO/Trade Tax Registration Certificate: Every quotation must be accompanied by certified copy of the latest Income Tax Clearance Certificates, without which the quotation will be liable to be rejected. 25.
