2 What Are The NETA-CET Digital Books? The NETA-CET books are available online. The digital edition increases the effectiveness of the books, enriches classroom studying and improves learning at home. The digital NETA-CET books are searchable - you can find anything inside the book quickly and easily. The digital NETA-CET books are interactive and media rich - audio, videos and interactive activities are embedded in the books. The digital NETA-CET books can be personalized - you can highlight parts of the text, copy and paste, add your own personal notes and more. 2

4 How to Get to the NETA-CET Digital Books A. Go to the NETA-CET website: Log in by entering your username and password. 4

5 5 Once you ve logged into the NETA-CET site, your name appears on the upper left side of the screen.

9 The Toolbar The book toolbar is located above the book. The toolbar buttons allow each user to personalize his/her book. Let s get to know these buttons. 9

10 Table of Contents To view the interactive table of contents click side of the screen. in the upper right 10

11 Accessing a specific page To go to a page, put the page number in the box 11

12 Search Button To find a specific word or phrase in the text, click and type the the word or phrase you want to find into the text box. 12

14 The NETA-CET digital books include data layers (added by the NETA- CET team or by the teacher) that enrich the content and the learning experience, including : audio, videos, interactive activities and tasks assigned by the teacher. 18 Buttons to enlarge or minimize the screen Play with each button and choose the most convenient way to use the book. 18

19 Using the text tools The text tools allow highlighting, underlining, searching for further information and copying. To open the text tools options, click the and mark a word or a segment in the text. The text toolbar will open: icon on the toolbar Choose the tool you would like to use. 19

20 Highlighting Click and choose the highlighting color. The text you marked will be highlighted with the chosen color. To undo the highlighting, mark the highlighted text again and click the icon. 20

21 Underline Click and choose the desired underlining color. The text you have marked will be underlined with the chosen color. To undo the underline, mark the underlined text and click the icon. 21

22 Dictionary and further information Mark a word or a phrase in the text. Click and choose dictionary, Google or Wikipedia. 22

23 Copying Text The copying function enables you to prepare worksheets and work on the text as live text : reorganize the text, edit it and more. Mark a word or a segment and.העתק click Copying a Picture To copy a picture, use this icon from the toolbar. Mark the picture you would like to copy. A window will open. Right click your mouse and press (Ctrl+C) and paste העתק the content into your document. A window will open. Right click your mouse and press העתק (Ctrl+C) and paste the content into your document (Ctrl+V). Please note: by clicking these buttons you automatically capture bibliographic information. Add the bibliographic citation by pasting it into your document. 23

24 Personal Notes The notes enable you to add reminders or personal comments to your book. Click the personal note icon and then click the place on the page where you would like to place it. A pop-up window will open. Write a note to yourself and give it a title. Click סיים to save. The notes appear only in the book of the person who created them. 24

25 Printing Press the Print button. In the pop-up window that opens, type.שלח the range of pages that you want to print and press 25

29 Read the instructions and follow them in order: 1. Enter the NETA website: and log in by entering your username and password. 2. Find the book you want and open it. Find the chapter you want. 3. Enlarge or minimize the screen and choose the most convenient way of using the book. 4. Highlight some text. 5. Attach a personal note to a sentence in the book. 6.
