2 Why Book Collectorz? What value does it have for personal use and in libraries? Streamlined way to catalog anything from small personal to larger collections Portable, ios and Android as well as any computer system Easy to use, with many online tutorials and support Quick access to collection holdings without needing direct access to the main server Many options for collections needs, such as bundling or not depending on collection scope Great for smaller budget institutions, such as special libraries, small archives, rural libraries

3 So, you bought the Pro version of Book Collectorz for your own personal use or for your library, exciting! Now what? First, we ll briefly walk you through the computer app, focusing on adding books manually; Then through the mobile apps that you might want to pair up for ease of adding items or portability; Finally, syncing to the cloud! NB: This tutorial is for Windows users. For Mac users, see Mac tutorial

5 Book Collectorz Computer App (Windows) Manually Adding Books: First step is to select the PLUS button on the top icon bar... Which leads you to a pop-up window that looks like this:

6 Book Collectorz Computer App (Windows) Manually Adding Books: You can search by ISBN....or by author and title......or even by Library of Congress call numbers!

7 Book Collectorz Computer App (Windows) Manually Adding Books: Once you enter in the information, click Add to Queue! You can add as many ISBNs, authors and titles, or LCCNs to the Queue as you want! Once you ve added as many as you want, click on Search All:

8 Book Collectorz Computer App (Windows) Manually Adding Books: Here are two examples of searches done with ISBNs and LCCNs. They only bring up the exact result, which can be helpful for books with many editions.

9 Book Collectorz Computer App (Windows) Manually Adding Books: The search is less specific when searching by author and title, however. Even with searching both, it still gives results such as this: So it s always better to use the ISBN or LCCN for searching!

10 Book Collectorz Computer App (Windows) Manually Adding Books: Once you have selected the correct editions, you add them to your collection with the Add All button CONGRATS! You have successfully added books to your collection!

11 Book Collectorz Mobile Apps (Android) CLZ Barry: For Scanning So you ve learned the app, but now you have HUNDREDS of books to add! Manually, that would take DAYS. Luckily, there is CLZ Barry, your handy neighborhood scanning app!

12 Book Collectorz Mobile Apps (Android) CLZ Barry: For Scanning Remember the ISBN input in the desktop app? You can connect your CLZ Barry app from your phone to your computer app by clicking this button! You ll get a pop-up that looks like this: With the phone app open, click on Connect. Hooray! You are now ready to scan some bar codes!

13 Book Collectorz Mobile Apps (Android) CLZ Barry: For Scanning After you open the app, click on the Scan button. Just scan the barcode, and the ISBN and book info will show up on the top bar!

14 Book Collectorz Mobile Apps (Android) CLZ Barry: For Scanning After that, it s the same as inputting it manually! It shows up in the Queue, and you can search for results and add it to your collection! Yay! You can now scan all of the books and add them quickly and easily!

15 Book Collectorz Mobile Apps (Android) CLZ Books: For On-The-Go Now you ve scanned all your books, but you want to access them on the go! Time for the CLZ Books app! You can use it to see what you have while you re away from your computer, and you can also use it to add books remotely.

You can also add books in the same way as from the computer app, by clicking the Plus button and choosing an option. If you go by ISBN, you can also scan, just as with the CLZ Barry app.

17 Book Collectorz Mobile Apps (Android) CLZ Books: For On-The-Go Just scan, select, and add to your collection! Just like using CLZ Barry with the desktop app! Now you can add books on the go, and see what you have while you re out!

When you have books waiting to be synced to the cloud, a little red button will pop up!

18 Book Collectorz Syncing (Windows to Android) But how do I get my books from the desktop app to the mobile app, you ask! You sync it with the cloud, of course! When you have books waiting to be synced to the cloud, a little red button will pop up! Clicking on it will open a window, prompting you to Sync Changes. Do so, and your book collection in the cloud will be updated!

19 Book Collectorz Syncing (Windows to Android) The Sync button is under the More Options button on the main app page! Once there, just click on Sync Changes and VOILA! You have all your books with you on the go!

20 Congratulations!!!!! You now know the basics of Book Collectorz! Celebrate by buying more books, secure in the knowledge that you will not accidentally buy two copies of the same book!
