2 Mount Rushmore Bookstores As a committee of the Mount Rushmore Society, the mission of the Mount Rushmore Bookstores is to support and assist the National Park Service with educational, historical and interpretive activities at Mount Rushmore National Memorial. Funds for these activities are raised through a membership program and sales from three Mount Rushmore bookstores, an audio tour outlet and a website. Since 1993, more than $1.9 million has been given back to the park service for educational programs.
