3 Welcome! References The CAPITOL red-brick high-rise building was erected in the 20 s of the last century and has become a well known iconic landmark of the City of Hanover. The listed building is situated by the banks of the river Ihme in the heart of Hanover, beautifully visible from afar. Until 1986 CAPITOL was a cinema theatre, but nowadays it has become a spacious event location, offering the appropriate facilities for your concepts: from concerts with national or international stars, for theme parties or Abitur finals celebration, student s parties as well as elaborate customer events and incentives anything is possible! The premises of CAPITOL have a unique charm that emanates a very intimate atmosphere. As the space spreading over 2 floors with several rooms is variable, CAPITOL is the perfect venue for events of any size, from 400 to guests offering the latest equipment for sound video and lighting and a fully equipped stage: simply the right choice for your event! Optionally we can organise and plan your complete event including artist performance, customized decoration to suit your event and first class catering according to your specifications. Tram from Hanover main station (Hauptbahnhof) Tram No. 9 (towards Empelde) get off at Schwarzer Bär or Tram No. 3 or 7 (towards Wettbergen) get off at Waterloo Bus from Aegi: Bus No.120 (towards Ahlem) from Hanover main station (Hauptbahnhof): Bus No. 500 (towards Ronnenberg/Gehrden) or Bus No. 300 (towards Pattensen) get off at Schwarzer Bär By car... arriving from the motorway A2 exit the motorway at Hannover-Herrenhausen, onto the B6 (Westschnellweg) follow the B6 towards Hannover Linden / Ihme-Zentrum, take the exit and turn left into Fössestraße, and stay on it for about 800 m, then turn right into Blumenauerstraße turn left into the multi-storey car park of Ihmezentrum, walking directions to CAPITOL are signposted inside the car park [further parking available at Ohestraße or Adolfstraße, see sketch] arriving from the motorway A7 at the motorway crossing Kreuz Hannover Nord, take the A 352 or 354 towards Dortmund, exit at Hannover-Herrenhausen onto B6 (Westschnellweg) turn left into Fössestraße, and stay on it for about 800 m, then turn right into Blumenauerstraße turn left into the multi-storey car park of Ihmezentrum, walking directions to CAPITOL are signposted inside the car park [further parking available at Ohestraße or Adolfstraße, see sketch] arriving from Hanover Messe take the Messeschnellweg towards Zentrum / Minden / Hameln carry on straight ahead (do not take the exit Zentrum!), until you get to a roundabout at the roundabout take the first exit to the right carry on straight ahead until the next roundabout Ricklinger Kreisel straight ahead over the roundabout, then carry on straight ahead towards Ihmezentrum on the left hand lane until the roundabout Deisterkreisel in the roundabout Deisterkreisel take the first exit into Deisterstraße, then carry on straight ahead, Deisterstraße ends at Schwarzer Bär take the curve to the right now CAPITOL is on your left at the next option make a U turn so that CAPITOL is on your right drive past CAPITOL and turn right into Blumenauerstraße turn right into the multi-storey car park of Ihmezentrum, walking directions to CAPITOL are signposted inside the car park [further parking available at Ohestraße or Adolfstraße, see sketch] Low emission zone Because CAPITOL is located in the centre of town, it is also within the low emission zone (UMWELTZONE), and therefore since 1st January 2008 you can only drive to our doorstep only if your car has been awarded the green environmental badge (Umweltplakette), which is available from the car registration office, TÜV, DEKRA or certified garages.
