2 THIS IS YOUR EVERYMAN On Saturday 3rd of March the EveryVoice Choir led by Caroline Mander sold out the theatre with a Broadway and West End Songbook evening. I have come to understand how important all of our choirs are as participation remains high with waiting lists for membership. The picture above highlights just how many members we have and the evening was a celebration for members and their families on the main stage at the theatre. This brochure takes us through the end of 2018 and I am delighted to announce that our annual Pantomime, Aladdin, will be written and directed by Peter Duncan, and will feature the return of Tweedy as Wishy Washy. Book now, as this production is sure to sell out again. Other highlights of the season will be Hairspray in June, Agatha Christie s Love From A Stranger and the launch a national tour of The Full Monty. We are also co-promoting a rather radical new production of Dracula in October. It will be a visually stunning show, premiering in Cheltenham before an extensive UK tour. I have now been at the Everyman theatre for a year and have learned a great deal more about this beautiful building and the excellent staff that run it and look after our guests. I would ask that you take some time to enjoy some of the Studio work we are presenting and if you would like to support any of the work we do with young people and within the community please contact Joe Hackett (joe.hackett@everymantheatre.org.uk) about becoming a theatre donor. Thank you for your continuing support and we look forward to seeing you at the Everyman soon. Mark Goucher Legal advice without the drama Tel: bpe@bpe.co.uk 2 Box Office: Everymantheatre.org.uk

Or perhaps you ve seen her toppling forward, arms full of wild flowers as he arches above her head and steals a kiss. Partners in life and on canvas, Marc Chagall and Bella Rosenfeld are immortalised as the picture of romance. But whilst on canvas they flew, in life they walked through some of the most devastating times in history. Daniel Jamieson s The Flying Lovers of Vitebsk traces this young couple as they navigate the Pogroms, the Russian Revolution, and each other. Emma Rice s production (her swan song for Kneehigh) is drawn in a theatrical language as fluid as Chagall s paintings, and woven throughout with music and dance inspired by Russian Jewish tradition. An unforgettable flight of imagination from the producers of The Wild Bride, Dead Dog In A Suitcase, Rebecca and Brief Encounter. A visual gem The Stage Gloriously romantic The Times 4 Box Office: Everymantheatre.org.uk

57 In the Studio Theatre The Frank Harrison Piano Trio Communicate Shivers Monday 5th November 8.00pm Tickets 16 Wed 7 November 7.45pm Tickets 11.50/ 10 Conc Sat 10 Nov 2.00pm and 7.45pm All Tickets 11.50/ 10 Conc Cheltenham Jazz presents another night of amazing jazz in the Everyman s Studio Theatre with The Frank Harrison Piano Trio. Frank Harrison is one of the most talented young musicians I have heard Ronnie Scott I should have mentioned it before, my Mum, she, last year, she passed. James is suffocated by his past. Based on true events, this is one couple s journey through bereavement, love, pregnancy, superheroes and enforced pen maintenance. It s a story about the importance of talking, opening up and grieving at the right time and about not letting your past determine your future. An intimate and gripping story about life and death, developed in association with Cruse Bereavement Care. A trio of delightfully thrilling ghost stories, set to the haunting sounds of the violin. The Book of Darkness & Light contains within it some of the most chilling tales ever told. Supernatural mysteries stir from its pages. You feel a prick on your neck. Your book tingles. A monstrous thing creeps in the shadows. Is it all in your mind? Tricks of the light? Or something far more sinister? One thing is for certain: these stories will give you the shivers. Presented by Sheepish Productions Presented by The Book of Darkness & Light in association with LittlyMighty Box Office: Everymantheatre.org.uk 57
