Compose arrangements of French folk song and popular music for Orff instruments, band and strings. Compose Orff arrangements of French poetry. Integrate folk music from other cultures and traditions. Develop Notebook files to use on Smartboard and integrate ipad apps. Develop interactive PowerPoints using Kodaly literacy skills, recordings and other multimedia for each song taught. Develop a recorder resource for Grades 3 and 4 with Orff arrangements. Teaching Quality Standard 3g: Teachers translate curriculum content and objectives into meaningful learning activities. 4 Goal #3 PARKED UNTIL Contribute to the improvement of students early literacy skills through music education by creating books using song-based literature and Parent-Child Mother Goose nursery rhymes in French. Books will be used in the K-1 music classroom while teaching songs and rhymes and can be shared as kits with classroom teachers to use in learning centers. Books can be shared with the home-reading program for K-1. Books will contain a QR code for scanning by smart devices to hear the song sung and lyrics spoken. Teaching Quality Standard 3n: Teachers know the importance of contributing, independently and collegially, to the quality of their school.
