1 Information about our Kids Christmas Musical! Rehearsals will take place on scheduled Sundays during the 11:00 service in the STUDENT LIFE ROOM. Please see the attached schedule. If your child/ren will be participating, he/she/they must attend each of the eight Sunday rehearsals AND the mandatory dress rehearsal. Be ON TIME! If your child is unable to attend a regular choir rehearsal for any reason, please contact Sharyl Cordone to let her know. We will be collecting $10.00 per child for t-shirts/costumes with the registrations. If this is a financial hardship, please let us know and arrangements will be made. A registration form (attached) must be filled out and turned in with $10.00 to the Christmas box on the lobby table by the Kids Life information. Registration deadline is September 27th. Once we have received your registration, you will be given a listening CD for your family. We will post the most up-to-date communication via . Please make sure the address you list on the registration form is one you regularly check. Please note that children in grades 1-3 must be picked up from rehearsals by a parent or guardian. Children in grades 4-6 will be dismissed to find their parents unless otherwise requested. 4 th 6 th graders desiring to audition for speaking parts and/or solos should see the attached audition agreement and information sheet for further instructions. PLEASE SEE THE ATTACHED SCHEDULE AND PUT ALL OF THESE DATES ON YOUR CALENDAR NOW SO NOTHING IS A SURPRISE! We do understand that there may be some unavoidable conflict that comes up. 2 PLEASE NOTE: 1. All Sunday rehearsals will take place in the Student Life Room. 2. Children MUST listen to and practice the songs with their CD at home. 3. Children MUST participate (hand motions/singing) when they attend these rehearsals. 4. Those in grades 4-6 who audition and get parts and/or solos MUST be at all workshops. 5 YOU MUST BE REGISTERED AND HAVE PAID ALL FEES BY SEPTEMBER 27th TO AUDITION! For Kids: 1. Check the workshop and dress rehearsal dates on your calendar to be sure you can attend all of these important rehearsals. 2. Complete this form, have a parent read and sign it, and put the bottom portion in the Christmas box on the lobby table by the Kids Life information by September 27th. Once all forms are turned in, a master schedule will be made. You will be notified via by September 29th of your audition time slot for October 4th. 3. Take a copy of the audition part for as many of the solo/speaking parts as you wish. They will be available at the rehearsals on Sunday, September 20 th and 27 th. We encourage you to audition for more than one part to increase your chances of getting a part. 4. PRACTICE the parts at home with good expression. The lines do not have to be memorized, but you need to be very familiar with them. 5. Report to the Round Room (Room 109) at your designated audition time on Sunday, October 4th. Mrs. Baughman and her selection team will be monitoring the auditions. She will inform you of the audition results by on Wednesday, October 7th. For Parents: 1. Please be sure to check your family calendar to ensure your child is able to attend all of the required workshops and dress rehearsal in their entirety. Your signature below is your agreement that you have no known schedule conflicts. 2. Parent helpers are needed for each workshop. You will be assigned a date to cover. We request that if you are unable to serve on the assigned date, you make every effort to switch with another parent.
