3 Biographies Born in South Korea, Eunsuk Jung is a pianist, collaborative artist, and pedagogue. Dr. Jung made her orchestral debut in 1991 with the Seoul Symphony Orchestra in Korea. Since then, she has performed solo recitals, concerti and chamber concerts throughout Korea and the United States. Her solo recital repertoire choices are eclectic from Bach and Mozart to Prokofiev and Scriabin to Bolcom, and Gould. She also has been an active collaborative artist continuously working with professional instrumentalists throughout the East Coast. Her most recent recitals include working with UT woodwind faculty members, Knoxville Symphony Orchestra String Quartet, Music for 4 hands with Ivo Kaltchev, and world-renowned players at the ITEC (International Tuba Euphonium Conference) in In addition to her performances, she has been invited to serve on various music competitions including YMIC (Young Musicians Inspiring Change) International Competition (MD), the Association of Christian School Fine Arts Competition, Youth Aliyah Concert Competition, the University of Tennessee s Celebration of Excellence, and the Music Teachers National Association Regional Division (TN). Dr. Jung holds a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance from Mokwon University in South Korea and both a Master of Music and Doctorate of Musical Arts degrees in Piano Performance from West Virginia University. As a pedagogue, Dr. Jung was an Assistant Professor of Piano at Hiawassee College where she served as the Piano Department Chair for all keyboard studies. Currently, she is on the music faculty of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville as a Lecturer of Piano and Coordinator of Class Piano studies. Her academic research is focused on university level class piano curricula in the United States and Korea. In addition, Dr. Jung serves as the President of the Knoxville Music Teachers Association, advisor of MTNA Collegiate Chapter at the University of Tennessee and organist/pianist at Sequoyah Hills Presbyterian Church in Knoxville. Violinist Sara Lee-Cho was born in Seoul, Korea and immigrated to Canada with her family at the age of three. She grew up in Vancouver, British Columbia where she began her violin studies. Sara went on to receive her Bachelor of Music degree in Violin Performance from Indiana University, Bloomington where she studied with the renowned Nelli Shkolnikova. She continued graduate studies at the University of Georgia, Athens under professors Levon Ambartsumian and Dr. Michael Heald. There she completed a Master of Music degree and began doctoral studies. While at the University of Georgia, Sara was recipient of the Contemporary Chamber Ensemble graduate assistantship, concertmaster of the UGA Symphony Orchestra, assistant concertmaster of the ARCO Chamber Orchestra which performed at Carnegie Hall, concerto competition winner, and selected performer for a master class given by Midori. Sara spent four months in Porto Alegre, Brazil after completing her MM degree, performing with numerous chamber orchestras there.

4 Following her move to Tennessee, Sara joined the Knoxville and Oak Ridge Symphony Orchestras, and maintained a private teaching studio from her home. Presently, she is part-time musician, full-time mother to three boys, and wife to a wonderful professor of resource economics. She is also a begrudging housekeeper, enthusiastic crafter, lifelong learner, and proud new American citizen. Violist Eunsoon Lee-Corliss, a native of Seoul, Korea, decided to learn viola at the age of 17 after attending her high school string orchestra concert. She soon entered the music school of Yon Sei University in Seoul, and was playing with the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra before she graduated. With the Seoul Philharmonic she toured Taiwan, Hong- Kong, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, San Francisco, Hawaii, and Los Angeles, before later joining the Singapore Symphony Orchestra (SSO). After a year with SSO, she came to the U.S. to continue her study at Ohio University as a graduate assistant, where she was principal violist with the University s Symphony Orchestra. She attended Bayview Music Festival in Michigan on a full scholarship and later also participated in Spoleto Festival in Italy. After earning her Master s Degree at Ohio, she played with the Omaha Symphony, Lincoln Symphony, Nebraska Chamber Orchestra, Pensacola Symphony, and joined the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra in 1985, where she has held the position of assistant principal violist since In August 2015, she graduated from Music for Healing and Transition Program (MHTP). She is passionate about serving as a Certified Music Practitioner (CMP) and sharing the benefits of therapeutic music with newborn infants as well as patients in hospitals and nursing homes. In June 2017, the League of American Orchestras presented Eunsoon with the Ford Musician Award for Excellence in Community Service for her work in the KSO Music & Wellness Program; she was one of five musicians selected for this national honor. Eunsoon enjoys growing exotic veggies with her mother, exploring art galleries and going on random excursions with her husband Scott. She also loves to brush up on Spanish and her latest discovery, swing dancing!

5 Soprano Sun-Joo Oh was born and raised in Busan, South Korea. She is currently Professor of Voice at East Tennessee State University. She received both her Bachelor of Music and Master of Music degrees in vocal performance from Sungshin s Women s University in Seoul, Korea. She studied in Rome, Italy, receiving a Diploma from AIDA Accademia. Upon completing her master s degree, Sun-Joo toured Italy and Germany, eventually landing in Boston, where she earned a Graduate Performance Certificate from the Boston Conservatory. Sun-Joo received her Doctorate of Musical Arts from the University of South Carolina. Dr. Oh has earned a loyal following from audiences throughout the world with her charm and vocal agility. Her lyric-coloratura roles have received dazzling reviews from critics everywhere. In Columbia, South Carolina, the Free Times praised Sun-Joo Oh s Messiah performance: Sun-Joo Oh, really let the light shine through with a bright, clean and stylish technique and for her operatic role as Musetta in La Bohéme: Sun-Joo Oh s Musetta was sassy, sexy and vocally stunning. Sun-Joo s other operatic appearances include The Queen of the Night (Magic Flute), Norina (Don Pasquale), Musetta (La Bohéme), Miss Silverpeal and Madame Goldentrill (The Impresario), and Ernestine (Monsieur Choufleuri). On the orchestral stage, Sun-Joo expresses her strong spiritual inspiration in works such as Brahms s Requiem, Haydn s Creation, Beethoven s Mass in C Major, Mozart s Requiem, Vivaldi s Gloria, Handel s Messiah, and Theofanidis Here and Now. She is in demand as a soloist with symphonies both here and abroad. A popular recitalist, Sun-Joo s programs feature a wide spectrum of literature which appeals to many nationalities, particularly aficionados of Baroque and Contemporary music. She has given recitals throughout the eastern United States, Europe, Brazil, and her native South Korea. Sun-Joo Oh lives in Johnson City, Tennessee with her beloved dog, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart Wolfie.

6 Pianist Esther Park has performed as a soloist with orchestras and in recitals across the United States as well as Asia and major European cities. Dr. Park has appeared as soloist with many orchestras such as Houston Symphony, Yale Philharmonia, Corpus Christi Symphony, Filharmonia Pomorska, Poland, Orchestra Filarmonica, Romania, Shanghai Philharmonic, China, Shreveport Symphony, the Juilliard Symphony, and the New Jersey Symphony. Dr. Park gave a five-city recital tour in Korea, and has performed at the Juilliard Theater in NYC, Alice Tully Hall, Lincoln Center, Carnegie Halls Weill Recital Hall, Salle Cortot in Paris, the New Jersey Performing Arts Center, Palau de la Musica, Valencia, Spain and on the Dame Myra Hess Piano Recital Series, Chicago. She has appeared at the Music Academy of the West (Santa Barbara), the Aspen Music Festival, the Bowdoin Summer Music Festival in Maine, the Tel-Hai International Music Festival in Israel, and the Van Cliburn- TCU Institute in Texas. Dr. Park has been heard in New York on WQXR Radio station as the winner of the 52nd Kosciusko International Competition and the Gina Bachauer Competition. Dr. Park has recently formed a piano duo with her sister, Sun-A Park. Duo Amadeae has since won the Chicago International Duo Piano Competition, and has appeared in numerous festivals, concerto performances and in duo recitals. The duo has been heard on WQXR as well as part of the Horowitz & Stecher foundation s piano series. Dr. Park is the winner of the 2013 Jose Roca International Piano Competition and 2013 Russian International Music Competition. She is the winner of 2009 Prix Amadeo and the 2009 Chopin Gesellschaft Klavierwettbewerb. Dr. Park also received top prizes at the 3rd San Marino International Piano Competition, the 3rd China Shanghai International Piano Competition, the 6th Paderewski International Piano Competition, the National Chopin Competition (USA), Hilton Head International Competition, the 14th New Orleans International Piano Competition and is the recipient of the President Clinton s Prodigy Award. Born in Pusan, Korea, Dr. Park began to play in public soon after her first piano lessons at the age of four. Dr. Park moved to the United States in 1995, after being accepted to the Juilliard School s Pre-College division. Dr. Park has completed the undergraduate and graduate degrees from the Juilliard School, studying with Yoheved Kaplinsky. Dr. Park has also studied at the Hochschule fur Musik und Theater, Hannover, under the tutelage of Mr. Bernd Goetzke. Dr. Park has since received the Artist Diploma, Master of Musical Arts degrees and Doctor of Musical Arts degrees at the Yale School of Music under the guidance of Mr. Boris Berman. Since 2015, Dr. Park has been serving as the assistant professor of piano and the director of Pre-College program at the East Tennessee State University.
