3 Meet the Artists KARL GIANT Cristin Milioti Cristin Milioti just concluded her star turn as Girl in the Broadway smash-hit musical Once, for which she received a Grammy Award as well as a Tony nomination for Best Performance by a Leading Actress in a Musical. Ms. Milioti s next project is playing opposite Leonardo DiCaprio in the upcoming Martin Scorsese film The Wolf of Wall Street, due out later this year. She lives in Brooklyn. David Abeles Actor/musician David Abeles (musical director, piano, guitar, and vocals) is an original company member and music captain of the hit Broadway musical Once. He is also the musical director of the Martin Lowedown, recently seen at 54 Below and Ars Nova. As a singer-songwriter, Mr. Abeles has performed in Atlanta, London, and New York and is currently working on an EP of original songs. He performed the role of Jerry Lee Lewis in Million Dollar Quartet on Broadway and at New World Stages. Mr. Abeles will appear in John Carney s upcoming film, Can a Song Save Your Life?, starring Keira Knightley and Mark Ruffalo. Will Connolly Will Connolly (guitar, ukulele, glockenspiel, and vocals) is an actor and singer-songwriter. He was most recently seen in the Tonywinning production of Once on Broadway. He has also worked with New York Theatre Workshop, Playwrights Horizons, Manhattan Theatre Club, Roundabout Theatre Company, Center Theatre Group, Yale Repertory Theatre, Southern Rep, the Old Globe, A.R.T., and Amsterdam Fringe Festival. Mr. Connolly is a Carbonell Award recipient. As a musician he has performed at 54 Below, Ars Nova, the Bitter End, and many others. He is a cowriter of the musical Fly by Night (world premiere at TheatreWorks Silicon Valley; Edgerton Foundation New American Play Award), which will receive its next production at Dallas Theater Center later this year. He is a founding member of the NOLA Project and a resident artist with Studio 42. Mr. Connolly received a bachelor of fine arts degree from NYU and a master of fine arts degree from the Yale School of Drama. Rob Preuss Rob Preuss (bass) is from Burlington, Ontario, and is honored and excited to be playing bass guitar tonight with Cristin Milioti. He has played piano since age five and synthesizer since age 11, and although he is first and foremost a keyboard player, some of his favorite and most influential musicians have been bass players. John

4 Deacon, Dee Murray, and Gene Simmons were early influences, along with Liberace and George Carlin. Mr. Preuss is associate musical director for Mamma Mia! on Broadway and assistant music supervisor for Broadway s Once. Liam Hurley Liam Hurley (drums) has performed around the world with the New York Philharmonic and the Boston Pops, County Cork, and Minnesota orchestras, all while backing up notables like Josh Ritter, Joan Baez, Glen Hansard, Ed Helms, and former poet laureate Robert Pinsky. His television appearances include Late Show with David Letterman, Jimmy Kimmel Live, Later with Jools Holland, and Live from the Artists Den. Also a trained puppeteer, his past productions include Compulsion (Yale School of Drama), The Fortune Teller (HERE), and 69 S (BAM). Mr. Hurley currently runs the music video production company Shutter & String. American Songbook In 1998, launched American Songbook, dedicated to the celebration of popular American song. Designed to highlight and affirm the creative mastery of America s songwriters from their emergence at the turn of the 19th century up through the present, American Songbook spans all styles and genres, from the form s early roots in Tin Pan Alley and Broadway to the eclecticism of today s singer-songwriters. American Songbook also showcases the outstanding interpreters of popular song, including established and emerging concert, cabaret, theater, and songwriter performers. American Songbook presentations include major concert programs in venues around. for the Performing Arts, Inc. for the Performing Arts (LCPA) serves three primary roles: presenter of artistic programming, national leader in arts and education and community relations, and manager of the campus. A presenter of more than 3,000 free and ticketed events, performances, tours, and educational activities annually, LCPA offers 15 programs, series, and festivals including American Songbook, Great Performers, Festival, Out of Doors, Midsummer Night Swing, the Mostly Mozart Festival, and the White Light Festival, as well as the Emmy Award winning Live From Lincoln Center, which airs nationally on PBS. As manager of the campus, LCPA provides support and services for the complex and the 11 resident organizations. In addition, LCPA led a $1.2 billion campus renovation, completed in October 2012.
