Student Teacher A Student Teacher meets the same minimum standard as an Associate Member (Grade 8 Practical and Grade 2 Rudiments) but needs to fulfill a two-year teaching requirement to be eligible for Associate Membership. A Student Teacher must also be studying with an accredited teacher. RCM refers to the Royal Conservatory of Music, which offers both Theory and Practical examinations in Fredericton.
