Our attention to details and the care we put in each step of the manufacturing process allow us to present the musicians with high-quality instruments that will stand the test of time. Quality and warranty The careful selection of raw materials and a strict quality control during all the production phases allow us to offer a limited 3-year warranty* from factory defects on our entire range of instruments. *Summary: instrument evaluation and/or set-up will have to be carried on exclusively by Luca Cardinali at his laboratory or by one of our appointed repair and service centers in a Country different from Italy. All costs and expenses arising from shipping/transportation of the instrument both ways are the sole responsibility of the customer. 3 3 lupifaro reeds and accessories Lupifaro Reeds Designed for both classical musicians and for those that, instead, prefer modern and jazz sounds, Lupifaro Reeds are produced by Rigotti: the cane that grows in the Var region, in the south of France, is universally considered to be the best raw material in the world. Specific to this region, the unique microclimate gives the cane plants - thus to the finished reeds - characteristics of flexibility and sound that are unobtainable elsewhere. Luca Cardinali has tried to satisfy the needs of the many musicians he met during the years by designing two different reed series. Our Classic reeds, in their white packaging, and our Jazz reeds, in the black one: both have different profiles and a different structural composition allowing for different tonal responses that will be appreciated by musicians performing in many different styles. Accessories by Lupifaro Our catalog will also include a selection of accessories for the musicians that have chosen wind instruments as their preferred means of expression. the platinum series, by l. cardinali Luca Cardinali, the designer behind Lupifaro, has expressly wanted the creation of the Platinum Series: these saxophones are annealed, tested and adjusted one by one, with the same care and attention a tailor would dedicate to the creation of a made to measure garment. Soldered bell and bow One of the features of the alto and tenor saxophones belonging to the Platinum Series, aside from not including a high F# key, is the fact that the instrument s joints are soldered. By soldering, the movement of the air column inside the instrument improves sensibly: this is due to the fact that there is no interruption between bell and body, something that is different from most modern saxophones. On the Platinum Series we also offer a full range of customization possibilities. Finishes, key buttons and set-up Further defining the saxophones in our Platinum Series, Lupifaro allows the musician to specify his personal set-up preferences and choose among many custom options that range from a selection of materials for the key buttons up to different pads.

Each finish, aside from the defining the look of the saxophones, accentuates different aspects of their sound: Vintage Bronze being slightly more brilliant than Brushed, which favors a softer, introspective tone. lupifaro Silver Not just for students... Solid and generous instruments suited both for the student, usually aspiring to the best instrument at an accessible price point, and the serious amateur - for whom playing is more than just a hobby. 12 12 Lupifaro serie platinum by cardinali FOREWORD Lupifaro, mythological figure that embodies strength and movement not unlike someone who has worked in the world of saxophones for thirty years with determination and curiosity: Luca Cardinali. After having worked for different manufacturers as technician and consultant, and having produced a small number of saxophones under his own name, Luca meets Phaselus SA, that believes in his ideas. Together, they decide to create a new line of exceptional instruments. Lupifaro s production is certainly larger than what a single artisan could handle by himself, but our team s focus is still on hand-made work beginning with the all-important phases of shaping and carefully annealing the bare metal, steps that characterize the soul and future life of each instrument. Lupifaro s saxophones, thus, are the result of years of research paired with craftsmanship of the highest level.
