Filing past azulejo-splashed architecture and wine-stained traditional tabernas in the city's compact web of crotchety back alleys with no particular place to go was pure poetry. And amid these seven hills, you always emerge to a view, be it castelo, Tejo or tram, that slacks your jaw with unrelenting consistency. Lisbon had me at olá! By Kevin Raub, Writer 1

First Tour: City Tour of Lisbon: This tour begins at the Hotel and goes through the most typical and narrow quarters of Lisbon. We will pass through the city center (Baixa) to admire the most important squares of Lisbon, such as the Monumental Praça do Comercio, Rossio Square in the heart of Lisbon and the symbolic Restauradores Square. Then we pass along Avenida 7

8 Liberdade, the "boulevard" of Lisbon, to finish in the Marques de Pombal square, with its imposing statue from the 18th century. BAIRRO ALTO is a picturesque working class quarter dating from the 16th century that has traditionally been the city's bohemian haunt of artists and writers. CHIADO is an elegant, sophisticated district of theaters, bookshops, old-style cafes, art nouveau jewelry shops and luxurious international brands. Much of the area was destroyed in a fire in 1988 but has since been reborn. It remains one of Lisbon's most beloved districts, with reminders of its past as the center of the city's intellectual life, with statues of literary figures such as Fernando Pessoa, Luis de Camões, and Eça de Queiros. Second Tour: Lisbon Museum Tour: This tour will start from one of the most important quarters of Lisbon and visit the magnificent Belem Quarter, known as the Monumental area of Lisbon, including the Tower of Belem, the Monument to the Discoveries and the Jerónimos Monastery. Third Tour: Sintra Museum Tour: Sintra is known for its many 19th century Romantic architectural monuments, which has resulted in its classification as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. With its imposing mountain range bestrewn with palaces, churches, and estates, stretching out like a green carpet towards the ocean, Sintra enjoys an excellent location both on account of its unparalleled beauty and its cultural and natural interest. Once in Sintra, visit the picturesque village with its old Palace (known mainly by the twin chimneys), dating from 14th century. It has been the summer residence of the Royal Family. There will be time at leisure to discover the hidden places of this beautiful town. The tour will also stop by Roca Cape, the most western point in Continental Europe. the Group will enjoy the contrast of the landscape from the mountain to the ocean! Here the Douro River pushes into the cold Atlantic and the city sits on one steep riverbank, with its thrusting towers and opulent city hall, its people defiant of austerity. The past defines much of Porto s look, but her people have found a way to get on and look forward with hope in this marvelous city. Porto was the historical center recognized as World Cultural Heritage by Unesco in 1996; since then, the city made several renovations and is now considered one of the best destinations in Europe (Porto recently won the title of best destination for 2018). The panoramic bus city tour will stop by Clerigos tower to admire this area of the city and to start a walking tour in downtown Porto. Then visit the S. Bento Station and the Bolsa Palace. 13 Costs and Payment Schedule: Total cost is 2295 Euros (For example: at an exchange purchase rate of 1.10 = $ ) per person, based on double occupancy. This includes events, accommodations, transfers, & all tips, gratuity, and VAT taxes described in the day-to-day itinerary and specifically itemized on the inclusions page. This price does not include roundtrip airfare to Lisbon. Single supplement occupancy is 1875 Euros additional. Note that single rooms are limited. Triple rooms are occasionally available and the cost per person is the same as double room occupancy, 2295 Euros per person. At the time MidAm International, Inc receives your FIRST PER PERSON DEPOSIT, your dollar purchase exchange rate for your ensemble will become fixed and firm in dollars, and this dollar amount is computed based on the dollar purchase exchange rate for that day which is published at the end of the business day in all newspapers. Please note that MidAm will add.1 to the total published bank rate to cover dollar to euro wire and transfer costs as well as any and all bank commissions charged by our European Bank (Alpha Bank). From this point forward the dollar amount for this program will remain unchanged, regardless of whether the dollar weakens or strengthens for the remainder of your payment deposits. This tour is priced in EUROS because all travel services in Europe are paid in EUROS, not dollars, to the providers. Spouses, friends, and families are welcome to be part of the residency. The package described here applies to them as well. COMPLIMENTARY PACKAGES FOR EARLY DEPOSITS The initial per-person deadline for registration for this residency is November 15, A free land package (based on double occupancy) is provided for every thirty persons who register by November 15, 2018 (30 registrations then #31 is free; registrations of 32 to 61 then #62 is free; registrations 63 to 92 then #93 is free, etc). The initial per-person first payment on the package is $400 per-person (see below). An additional free bonus land package (based on double occupancy) is provided for every 30 registrants if the initial per-person registration occurs by June 1, For example, if you register with 30 paid persons by November 15, 2018 you receive 1 complimentary land package free (30+1). However, if those 30 persons would register by June 1, 2018 an early registration bonus occurs with an additional complimentary land package, so, it is or 32 total. This bonus only applies to registrations which occur by this early deposit date of June 1, If you should later add an additional 30 persons by November 15, 2018 then only 1 additional complimentary land package occurs which, in this case, would be 3 bonus packages: Note: If the conductor is a "guest conductor", with a chorus of minimum 60, his free package does not count in the above calculation. The number of participants is a combination of performers and non-performers all taking the residency package. Two major public performances in Lisbon on June 24 and June 26 with Orquestra de Câmara de Cascais-Oeiras and world-class soloists. The first one on June 24 will feature the visiting guest conductors and their 60 voice choirs in Palácio Nacional de Mafra; the second concert on June 26 will combine all of the choirs in a major oratorio in Igreja de São Roque under a special guest conductor. 2. One a cappella sacred music concert in Porto on June 28 (for those choirs who choose to perform under their own directors). A minimum of three groups must agree to do the a cappella solo performance before it can go forward. 3. Distinguished guest conductors. 4. The Orquestra de Câmara de Cascais-Oeiras for the Lisbon concerts 5. World-class soloists from Portugal, Germany, Italy, and France as needed who are under professional management. 6. Professional accompanists and language coaches. 7. Audience management of concerts in cooperation with Citur Destination Management Company of Lisbon. 8. National and International press coverage. 9. Internet posting and updating. 10. Concert photograph sent to each director by October 1, Complimentary concert YouTube sent to each director of their concert (pending approval of the Lisbon musicians union). 12.
