He has presented concert tours of the U.S., England, Nova Scotia, Russia, Italy, and China (2014). A renowned collaborator and chamber musician, he has appeared with such notable conductors as Robert Spano, Donald Runnicles, Michael Palmer, and Stefan

3 Sanderling. He has presented recitals with the Pacifica Quartet, cellist Shauna Rolston, soprano Mary Ann Hart, and tenor Sergio Blasquez. In response to Hurricane Katrina, he coordinated and performed in the 2006 Pianists for New Orleans tour of the United States, raising over $100,000. He has presented concert tours of the U.S., England, Nova Scotia, Russia, Italy, and China (2014). Mr. Henry has enjoyed phenomenal success competitively, ultimately winning the Gold Medal in four International Piano Competitions. On three occasions, juries have spontaneously created special prizes to honor his performances, including Best Performance of a 20th-Century Work and Best Performance of a Commissioned Work. In 2010, Mr. Henry released his debut CD, Twelve Nocturnes and a Waltz. The recording is a collection of some of the world s best-loved melodies, including the world premiere of Alexei Stanchinsky s forgotten Nocturne from Mr. Henry was also winner of two 2010 Telly Awards for the documentary about his recording experience. He is regularly heard on NPR's Atlanta Music Scene and Performance Today. Mr. Henry released the world premiere recording of Brahms' recently discovered "Albumblatt," available now on itunes as a single. This track is also included in the album, As the Songbird Sings: Music of Schubert and Brahms. Mr. Henry earned the Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the University of Maryland, with additional studies at the Cleveland Institute of Music and the Glinka Conservatory in St. Petersburg, Russia. As an educator and pedagogue, Robert Henry presents lectures, masterclasses, residencies, youth concerts, and has been featured in American Music Teacher, Gramophone, and Clavier. He has served as recitalist, clinician, and juror for state, regional, and national MTNA conventions and competitions. Presently, he is Artistic Director of the Great Performances Concert Series in Highlands, NC, Assistant Director of the Atlanta Boy Choir, Organist-Choirmaster of the Episcopal Church of the Incarnation in Highlands, NC, and proudly serves as Artist-in-Residence at Kennesaw State University in Atlanta, GA. He is also a founding member of the Summit Piano Trio. An International Steinway Artist, he maintains his webpresence at Assistant Professor of Music Education Charles Laux is Assistant Professor of String Music Education at Kennesaw State University where his duties include teaching courses in string techniques and pedagogy, instrumental methods, and music education technology. Additional responsibilities include serving as conductor for the KSU Philharmonic, and as director of the KSU Summer Music Intensive and the KSU String Project. In addition he is a Ph.D. candidate in music education at The Ohio State University, conductor of the Georgia Symphony Youth Camerata Orchestra, and an Essential Elements clinician, consultant, and contributor for the Hal Leonard Corporation. With 16 years of public school teaching experience, Mr. Laux directed orchestras in the Hilliard City Schools (Ohio), the Orange County (Florida) Public Schools and the Clark County School District, centered in Las Vegas. Under his direction, the Winter Park High School Philharmonic Orchestra was chosen to perform at the 60th annual Midwest Band and Orchestra Clinic. He has also taught courses at The Ohio State University, the College of Southern Nevada, Valencia College, and the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Mr. Laux has presented educational sessions for the Midwest Clinic, American String Teachers Association, Technology Institute for Music Education, Association for Technology in Music Instruction, and state music educator conferences in nine states. His performing experience includes several seasons with the Las Vegas Philharmonic, performances with the Nevada Chamber Symphony, and many freelance performances on violin and viola. Mr. Laux has conducted several regional and festival orchestras including the 2012 New Mexico All State Concert Orchestra and the 2013 GMEA Statewide Honor Orchestra. He is D Addario endorsed educator/clinician and remains in frequent demand across the nation as an orchestra clinician, conductor, adjudicator and presenter. Director Of Orchestral Interim Director School Of Music Michael Alexander is the Director of Orchestral Activities at Kennesaw State University and serves as the Music Director of the Georgia Symphony Orchestra. Active as a guest conductor, he has conducted in Europe, Australia and at various places in the United States, including performances with the Central

4 Wisconsin Symphony Orchestra, Illinois Valley Symphony Orchestra, the Maikop Symphony Orchestra and the Novgorod String Orchestra in Russia, the Bacau and Ploiesti Philharmonic in Romania, and the Catania Music Festival in Italy. In the summer of 2004 and 2009 he served as Music Director for the Madison Savoyards Opera Company. He has also appeared as a guest conductor four times with the Summer Music Clinic Orchestra at the University of Wisconsin and with the Maud- Powell Music Festival Orchestra in LaSalle, IL. In March 2010 he conducted the Georgia All-State Orchestra and in the summer of 2011 was a guest conductor at the Highlands Music Festival. Under his leadership, the Georgia Symphony has presented many critically acclaimed performances and has seen enormous growth. During his nine year tenure with the GSO, the group has added to its core of professional musicians, removed all of the massive debt it was under, expanded its budget, and created a comprehensive youth orchestra and chorus program with approximately 400 students from across the region. In the summer of 2003, Dr. Alexander completed his Doctor of Musical Arts Degree at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in orchestral conducting. Prior to his current appointments, he has served on the faculties at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, and Ripon College. Dr. Alexander began the orchestra program at Kennesaw State University and under his direction the KSU Orchestra has performed at the 2009 Georgia Music Educators Association Annual In-Service, hosted and performed at the 2010 College Orchestra Directors Association National Conference, and completed a three concert tour of Beijing and Xian, China in January of He has conducted several District Honor Orchestras and has also presented workshops and sessions for the American String Teachers Association, The Ohio State University String Teacher Workshop, and at the Georgia Music Educators Association Annual In-Service. about the school of music The School of Music at KSU has dedicated, vibrant, and talented faculty and staff that are completely devoted to teaching, performing, scholarship, and serving our community.
