2 A message from the Dean: During my time with the Greater Columbia AGO Chapter, I remember only one called meeting of the entire AGO membership (chapter meeting). Each AGO member needs to feel that they are part of the organization and its decisionmaking process. While I don t want to burden you with unnecessary meetings, I feel that we are disenfranchising members or creating the perception that the AGO Executive Committee makes all decisions for the AGO membership. For the past two years, an appointed committee has been working diligently on revising the chapter policies and procedures document. The document is now complete, has been approved by the AGO National Office, and was sent to the Greater Columbia AGO Chapter membership in March. A vote of the entire membership must take place for adoption of the revised policies and procedures of the Greater Columbia AGO Chapter. I am calling a brief meeting of the membership prior to the April 13 meeting at St. Andrews Lutheran Church for discussion and adoption of this document. A catered dinner will be served at 6:00 p.m. prior to the program. Watch for details about reservations and cost of the dinner in the next newsletter. This will be a wonderful time to reconnect with AGO members and to greet our presenter for the evening program. Below is the timeline for the evening s events. Please join us for an interesting, informative meeting and program on April 13. I look forward to seeing familiar and new faces at the gathering. Frances Webb, Dean 6:00 CATERED DINNER ($10 - Reservations required - see page one) 6:45 BRIEF BUSINESS MEETING for discussion and adoption of the chapter's "Policies and Procedures" 7:00 MEETING - Dr. Monica Harper - "Congregational Song: Paraphrases of the Psalms by Isaac Watts and Charles Wesley" 2

Along with soprano Sarah Lysiak, Michael will be performing Triptych on Poems by Robert Bridge, a piece which Tom White, Cantor at Ebenezer Lutheran, was commissioned to compose for the duo by New Hope Lutheran Church in Houston TX.
