7 Installation Guide Wireless Commissioning & Signal Strength Before fixing DIGISTAT+3RF wall it is recommended first check signal strength from that location. To do this, after initial start up, colon, CH and antenna symbols should be flashing on LP10RF display CLOCK? Press set? butn 4 times. Press OK butn once. Press set? butn 4 times; Lrn and OFF should be displayed. OFF Press + butn so display shows ON and a flashing antenna symbol. The learn mode is now ready receive a signal from transmitter during next two minutes. Take Digistat+3RF unit and stand near boiler. Remove battery cover and fit batteries. 9. The receiver display will now show learnt transmitter code and antenna as well as signal strength as indicated by chevrons on right hand side of display. J Place transmitter in desired final position and return boiler check receiver display. The ideal transmitter position will result in receiver display showing 4 chevrons and LED will be green. K If LED is red or no LED is showing and display indicates 1 or 2 chevrons, transmitter will need be re-positioned until LED changes amber or green and 3 or 4 chevrons are indicated on display. If re is no LED and display shows - - -, re is no signal being received at all from transmitter. Transmission will resume once transmitter is repositioned in a part of house where an amber or green LED and 3 or 4 chevrons are achieved. L Once you are happy that, when in desired location, transmitter is sending a good signal receiver i.e. amber or green and 3 or 4 chevrons, transmitter can be fixed wall. 8 Installation Guide Positioning Digistat +3RF room rmostat The Digistat is a radio frequency device which is very flexible for positioning as re is no need for hard wiring appliance. The device should be mounted in an open area, no closer than 30cm from metal objects, including wall boxes. Mount Digistat+3RF on a wall which is not subject direct sunlight or draughts, preferably on an inside wall, 1.5 metres above floor. The Digistat+3RF must also not be directly influenced by radiars or or appliances giving off heat Remove battery cover using a coin Install 2 AA batteries provided Digistat +2RF Digistat +2RF 6. Replace battery cover Mounting Digistat +RF room rmostat 1. Remove front cover using a flat screwdriver and separate from back plate. Digistat +2RF Digistat +2RF 2. Fix back plate directly on wall using allocated fixing points and suitable wall plugs and screws. To cancel signal strength mode: 1. Remove batteries from Digistat+3RF transmitter cancel constant transmission. 2. 9 Installation Guide Signal Strength To check signal strength on previously installed and paired units: 1. Press set butn 4 times on LP10RF. 2. Press OK once. 3. Press set butn 5 times. 11 Installation Guide DIGISTAT+3RF If enabled, start time should be set an hour earlier than time you want property reach set. Intelligent Start will delay that start time, by an amount that it has calculated based on actual and set. As wear becomes milder, start time is delayed, so that fuel is not wasted bringing room up earlier than necessary. The Digistat calculates approximately 10 minutes raise by 1 C, up a maximum of 6 C. Intelligent Delayed Start only applies in Au mode. Intelligent Delayed Start default is in OFF mode. To switch ON Intelligent Delayed Start enter Installer Options Menu (see Installer Options 06). The Intelligent Delayed start option is not suitable for underfloor application. Ensure Installer option 06 is set OFF before final commissioning for underfloor application. SPECIAL NOTE: If Intelligent delayed start feature is enabled, (Off changed On in Installer option 06), please inform end user of this feature. Full 7-day functionality allows you set a different program for every day of week. Each program type allows you set 6 time and events.
