28 CoaXPress Products A wide and growing range of products is available: Cameras: Over 20 vendors from N.America, Europe and Asia, covering area scan, line scan, visible and IR. Many are leading edge high-speed cameras running at speeds well beyond Camera Link, e.g. 4 megapixels at 560 fps. Frame Grabbers: Eight vendors from N.America, Europe, Middle East and Asia. IP Vendors: Four main vendors from N.America, Europe and the Middle East, although many firms have written their own IP rather than buying it. 30 Coming Soon v2.0 The CoaXPress Technical Committee is working on version 2.0. A key aim of CoaXPress is to continue to support the fastest cameras on the market! The speed per link will be extended to 10 Gbps (CXP-10) and 12.5 Gbps (CXP-12). A single 6 core CXP-12 cable will give data rates of 7.5 Gbytes/sec! (Camera Link Deca is 0.85 Gbytes/sec) Faster uplink for camera control and triggering. Support for connecting very fast cameras to multiple frame grabbers, even if they are in multiple PCs.
