3 I ntroduction 1 I nt roduct ion 1.1 About the product G11S is a 19" grayscale medical display with high resolution. I t is intended to be used in displaying and viewing t he pat ient s record and ot her m edical im ages for diagnost ic, interventional radiology and other medical applications. The display supports VGA, DVI-D, BNC I N and BNC OUT. Each monitor has been precisely calibrated to comply with DI COM Part 3.14 at factory. With the accurate image and stabilization of built-in backlight, the monitor can rapidly m aintain brightness and stability throughout its life. 1.2 About the user m anual This docum ent describes the functionality and the reasonable usage of G11S. For ensuring the clarity, please note that it does not contain all detailed information on this product. This user manual contains important information that you have to read in order to ensure your personal safet y and prevent dam ages t o your propert y. Please read t hese safet y inform at ion and product inform at ion so t hat you can operat e t he m achine safely and effect ively. This user m anual is only suitable for G11S. W ARNI NG I f the unit begins to em it sm oke, sm ells like som ething is burning, or m akes strange noises, disconnect all pow er connections im m ediately and contact your dealer for advice. Attem pting to use a m alfunctioning unit may result in fire, electric shock, or equipm ent damage. Do not open the cabinet or m odify the unit. Opening the cabinet or modifying the unit m ay result in fire, electric shock, or burn. Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel. 6 Safety information Use the enclosed pow er cord and connect to the standard pow er outlet of your country. Be sure to rem ain within the rated voltage of the power cord. Not doing so m ay result in fire or electric shock. I f the pow er cord need be disconnected, please hold it tightly and unplug it. Tugging on the power cord m ay dam age and result in fire or electric shock. The equipm ent m ust be connected to a grounded m ain outlet. Not doing so m ay result in fire or electric shock. Please follow the local law s and regulations to dispose the scrap safely. CAUTI ON Handle w ith care w hen carrying the unit. Disconnect the power cord and signal cables and remove the optional unit. Moving the unit with the cord or the option attached is dangerous. I t may result in injury. W hen handling the unit, grip the bottom of the unit firm ly w ith both hands ensuring the panel faces outw ard before lifting. Dropping the unit may result in injury or equipm ent dam age. 7 Safety information Do not touch the plug w ith w et hands. Doing so m ay result in electric shock. Periodically clean the area around the plug. Dust, water, or oil on the plug may result in fire. Unplug the unit before cleaning it. Cleaning the unit while it is plugged into a power outlet m ay result in electric shock. I f you plan to leave the unit unused for an extended period, disconnect the pow er cord from the w all socket after turning off the pow er sw itch for the safety and the pow er conservation. LCD PANEL When the monitor is cold and brought into a room or the room tem perature goes up quickly, dew condensation m ay occur inside and outside the monitor. I n that case, do not turn the monitor on and wait until dew condensation disappears, otherwise it may cause som e damages to it. I n order to suppress the luminosity change by long-term use and to m aintain the stable luminosity, please use the m onitor with the lower brightness. The screen m ay have defective pixels. These pixels may appear as slightly light or dark area on the screen. This is due to the characteristics of the panel itself, and not the product. The backlight of the LED panel has a fixed life span. When the screen becomes dark or begins to flicker, please contact your dealer. Do not press on the panel or edge of the frame strongly, as this may result in dam age to the screen. Do not scratch or press on the panel with any sharp objects, such as a pencil or pen as this may result in dam age to the panel. Do not attempt to brush with tissues as this may scratch the LED panel. When the screen im age is changed after displaying the same im age for extended periods of tim e, an afterimage may appear. Use the screen saver or tim er to avoid displaying the sam e im age for extended periods of time. 6

10 Connection and Quick Start 4 Connection and quick start Note: Be sure that the power switches of both the computer and the m onitor are OFF. 4.1 Connection Connect all cables to the corresponding connectors as shown in the following figure. 4.2 Quick start Turn on the m onitor, the power indicator will become orange. 15 Cleaning and Disinfection 7 Cleaning and Disinfection Periodic cleaning is recom m ended to keep the monitor clean and to prolong its operation lifetime. Note: Be sure to unplug the power cable from the m achine when cleaning your LCD monitor. Take care not to use any hard or abrasive material to scratch the screen. Use a soft dam p microfiber cloth with a sm all am ount of recommended cleaning agent to remove the dust, fingerprint and grease etc. from screen or housing parts. Make sure that liquids do not perm eate the m achine, if so, that m ay result in an electric shock or fault in the device. The screen is extrem ely sensitive to mechanical influences, so any scratches, shocks, etc. should be avoided. Tested disinfectants is only used. I f a cleaning agent is sprayed directly onto the screen surface, use a microfiber cloth to remove drops which run down before they reach the edge of the panel. Wipe off liquid drop immediately. Discoloration can be caused or calcium deposits can be formed on the surface due to contact with liquids over a longer period. 14

I f the problem persists, use the graphics board's utility software to change the display position if available. ( only for VGA signal) 3. Vertical bars of distortion appear.
