1 The Quintessential Beatrix Potter Collection for Sale Jean Tittle, a great collector and friend of Seaway China, became one of the most influential educators in the Michigan public school system. As an English teacher, Jean taught thousands of students during her years of teaching. The pinnacle of her career came when she was awarded Michigan s Creative Writing Teacher of the Year. Jean s love of literature included all genres, but one of her favorite writers was Beatrix Potter. She collected anything and everything Beatrix Potter! Alongside her sister, Jane, the two of them spent countless hours on both sides of the Atlantic hunting for Beatrix Potter treasures. Many of their travels throughout the United States were driving trips. The two women with their supportive husbands in tow would stop at every antique shop, flea market and craft store in search of pieces to add to their ever-expanding collections. Jean s display of her prized collection was legendary and she even has set up Beatrix Potter displays in our Seaway China showroom! When Jean and her husband, Max, made the difficult decision to downsize from their family home, the couple turned to us to sell their coveted collection. One of the greatest Beatrix Potter collections ever amassed, the collection contained some of the rarest figures ever made in the line, including the Duchess with Flowers, the Jemima Puddleduck wall plaque and more than 30 gold backstamped figures. We are privileged to offer this Beatrix Potter collection to other passionate collectors! To see the entire selection of pieces from the Tittle collection, please visit seawaychina.com. The majority of the pieces in this collection are one-of-a-kind, so please order early to avoid disappointment.
