1 The Best Me That I Can Be! El Mejor Mí Que Puedo Ser! By: Liz Brown and Leigh Visconti

2 Every morning, I eat a bowl of cereal for breakfast (el desayuno) and drink a big glass of milk! (leche!) Health/Nutrition:

3 I pack my lunch (almuerzo), and make sure that I have at least one fruit or vegetable (fruta o verdura).

4 After eating all my dinner (cena), I can have one cookie, brownie or scoop of ice cream. Eating too many sweets (dulces) is unhealthy for my body (cuerpo).

5 Physical Activity During recess (el recreo ) at school, I swing (me columpio )really high on the swing set!

6 I like to play (jugar) tag with my friends, but I have to be careful (tengo que tener cuidado ) not to trip or run into anyone!

7 When I get home from school (la escuela), I ride my bike (bicicleta) with my little brother, moving my legs (piernas) smoothly and quickly.

8 Relationships I sit with my best friends (mejores amigos) on the bus.

9 I ask my friend (amiga) politely to borrow her crayon.

10 Safety/Hygiene I brush my teeth (los dientes), round and round, up and down.

11 When I use the bathroom (el cuarto de baño), I always remember to wash my hands (lavar las manos)!

12 When walking to the bus (autobus), I look both ways before crossing the street (cruzar la calle).

13 Sleep and quite time I wake up in the morning (mañana) feeling great and Rested (descansado).

14 Getting plenty of sleep (sueño) helps me feel healthy (sano )and ready for the day!

15 If I feel mad, I give myself some quiet time (tiempo callado) and a chance to relax (relajarse).
