(20) The directionless educational system of the Third World, in general, and Pakistan in particular is also aggravating the problem of unemployment. In its original sense, education should be aimed at training the people to meet their needs by exploiting the available resources in a better and most economical way. But in Pakistan the educational system has miserably failed to produce manpower that could be gainfully absorbed in its economy.it seems that our economic and educational system belong to two different worlds. The inefficiency of our government is not to formulate a just and balanced labor policy is also another cause of unemployment in Pakistan. Due to the lack of a proper labor policy employers give unjust wages to the labor which results in improper contribution of the workforce to the economic activity of the country. At present, the developed countries are also not in mood to support the sluggish economy of Pakistan. During oil boom of the 70s, 30 % of our unemployed labor force went to the Middle East countries. This large-scale emigration not only reduced the pressure of unemployment in our country but also brought in a huge amount of foreign exchange to our staggering economy. Unemployment is more than an economic problem. An unemployed person loses his confidence and hope. He becomes a frustrated member of the society. The natural outcome of this frustration is destruction. Sometimes this frustration targets his own personality and he becomes a drug addict and sometimes it manifests itself in the form of anti-social feelings and he begins to create law and order problems.
