6 2 Choose one of the photos on pages 46 and 47. a Draw a quick sketch of the photo. A description describes a particular person, place or thing. It is often part of a longer text. It uses: nouns adjectives relating, thinking and feeling verbs descriptive words. b Label your sketch. Include adjectives in your labels, eg long, green ribbon. c List the colours you see. d List the textures you see, eg rough, silky. e Write a description of the photo. Start with a general outline of what you can see, and then become more specific. Write about colours, textures and size. Use adjectives.
