The standard venue hire includes the venue in standard mode with a capacity of 00. The table and diagram below detail the different configurations possible for the venue. Any changes from standard mode will incur a cost of labour to complete the necessary changes. Height safety equipment required in each venue is provided as part of the venue hire. Additional rigging equipment is available for hire. Please note all rigging must be installed by a licensed rigger. Brisbane Powerhouse can provide a licensed rigger for a fee if required. Additional staging equipment, including soft blacks, rostra and treads, are also available for hire. Please contact Brisbane Powerhouse for the complete list of equipment. The audio system operates on a true online UPS to condition the power and is on a separate earth to main power distribution. All audio points are red in colour. 0 amp phase outlets are distributed around the venue and in the dimmer room. As part of the venue hire a limited supply of 0v leads are supplied. Additional phase leads and weiland cables are available for hire. x 0 amp phase outlets in dimmer room x 0 amp phase outlets in rear stage, one stage left and one stage right x 0 amp audio phase located in bio box All audio power is run on a separate earth and is filtered by a UPS Sound The Visy Theatre comes supplied with a full front of house audio system and a small amount of fold back. The system includes console and play back. The system runs Meyer self-powered FOH boxes with the room EQ being provided by XTA EQ0 s. A limited supply leads and adaptors are available as part of venue hire. As part of venue hire talk back is provided at the SMD, sound desk and lighting desk as well as one additional set for back stage. Additional talk back is available for hire if required. Head sets are collected by patrons as needed from box office. Smoking Policy The Brisbane Powerhouse is a non-smoking venue. Persons who smoke are required by law to smoke only in Designated Smoking Areas. Fire Evacuation and Work Place Health and Safety Induction All visiting clients, including crew and cast, must undergo a venue specific induction regarding fire evacuation and workplace health and safety. A copy of the Brisbane Powerhouse fire evacuation procedure is available on request. It is a requirement of Brisbane Powerhouse Work Place Health and Safety that closed-in shoes are worn on stage for all site inspections, bump in and bump outs. Risk Assessment Shows which are deemed to contain an item or event that may cause a potential hazard may be required to complete a risk assessment in consultation with Brisbane Powerhouse.
