We are pleased to have you as our guests, and hope you ll find this Fan Guide a helpful tool during your stay. 3 THINGS TO SEE & DO IN THE FOX CITIES Looking for things to occupy your time in between games? Then take a look at our top 10 list of activities for all ages! 1.) SHOP TIL YOU DROP! The Fox Cities is Wisconsin s Shopping Place, home to Fox River Mall with 180 stores under one roof including Pottery Barn, Coach, Macy s, Pink, Scheels and the largest Forever 21 store in the state. We also offer vibrant downtowns with many locally-owned boutiques and shops. For a full list of shopping from antiques and boutiques to Fox River Mall, check out FoxCities.org. 2) LOCALLY-GROWN! Downtown Appleton and Downtown Menasha both offer a midweek farm market for you to visit during your time here. Visit over 40 vendors in Washington Square every Wednesday from 3:30pm- 7:30pm. Pick up fresh fruits, vegetables, cheeses, flowers, crafts and other seasonal items. Head to the Menasha Marina on Thursday from 2pm-6pm for a great selection of produce, baked goods, homemade items and so much more! 3) OUTDOOR MUSIC Nothing is better in summer than outdoor music concerts! Lunchtime Live takes place in Downtown Appleton every Thursday from 11:30am-1pm in Houdini Plaza and Out to Lunch takes place in Shattuck Park in downtown Neenah from 11:30am-1pm. Pack your own lunch or food is available for purchase at each event. The music plays on even when the sun goes down! Both downtown Neenah (Shattuck Park, Wednesdays 6-8pm) and Appleton (Houdini Plaza or Jones Park, Thursdays 5:30-8:30pm) offer a nighttime concert series. 4) Ever wonder how HARRY HOUDINI prepared himself to be submerged in ice cold water? The History Museum at the Castle has your answer! What was it like to have the first house in the country with its own hydroelectric power? Find out this answer by visiting The Hearthstone Historic House! Want to see the world s largest glass paperweight collection? Don t miss visiting the Bergstrom-Mahler Museum of Glass! Get excited about the visual arts by taking a trip to the Trout Museum of Art featuring exhibitions, special events and workshops! You re invited to visit these and our other wonderful museums. Take advantage of over 35 miles of paved and unpaved biking trails including the Trestle Trail bridge. If hiking is more your speed, you ll love High Cliff State Park, located on the shores of Lake Winnebago, with 15 miles of trails. Badger Sports Park offers indoor and outdoor activities including batting cages, mini golf laser tag, mini bowling and go karts. Do your kids want to be a firefighter? Fly a Gulfstream Jet? Then you ll want to experience The Building for Kids Children s Museum! Stop out at Mulberry Lane Farm to enjoy a hands-on farm experience! Want to see the moon and stars up close? Stop by the Barlow Planetarium for one of their fascinating star shows! Don t forget to stop at the Weis Earth Science Museum and check out their Dinosaur Den for a roaring good time! 7) It s time to get CREATIVE! The Fire Art Studio in downtown Appleton will let you explore your creative side by painting pottery, fusing glass or making jewelry. The options are endless! When you visit the Paper Discovery Center during your visit here, you ll be able to go back home and say that you made your own paper. While there, you ll also learn about the importance of the paper industry in the Fox Cities and the extensive history of it. PAGE 3 8) Looking for a BITE TO EAT? Well, you re in luck because the Fox Cities dining scene is extensive. From Thai and Greek, to Italian, Japanese and American... From an elegant atmosphere to a cozy corner diner. 6 DIRECTIONS TO NEUROSCIENCE GROUP FIELD AT FOX CITIES STADIUM Neuroscience Group Field at Fox Cities Stadium is conveniently located just west of Highway 41 and north of Wisconsin Avenue in the Town of Grand Chute (just west of Appleton). The main entrance to the stadium is at 2400 N. Casaloma Drive. The stadium can be accessed from both Wisconsin Avenue and Highway 15/41 interchanges. To reach the stadium from Highway 15, exit off Highway 41 and head west to Casaloma Drive. Turn left on Casaloma Drive. Fox Cities Stadium will be a ¼ mile on the left. To reach the stadium from Wisconsin Avenue (Highway 96), exit off of Highway 41 and head west on Highway GV towards Casaloma Drive. Turn right on Casaloma Drive and the stadium will be a ½ mile on the right. PAGE 5

7 SPECTATOR GUIDELINES OVERVIEW The 2014 WIAA State Spring Baseball tournament will be played at Neuroscience Group Field at Fox Cities Stadium in Grand Chute Tuesday-Thursday, June The WIAA began sponsoring a tournament program in spring baseball in There are 380 teams in the boys spring baseball tournament program for There are 55 schools sponsoring a summer baseball program. There are 96 teams in Division 1 this year, 95 teams in Division 2, 95 teams in Division 3 and 94 teams in Division 4. TICKETS Tickets are $8 cash for each session (two games) or tickets are $9 with credit card at the Fox Cities Stadium ticket window during the State Tournament. Tickets will go on sale one hour prior to the start of the first game of a given session. A cash machine is available once inside the stadium. Your ticket, which will not be refunded if a rain delay occurs, is a raincheck. PARKING INFORMATION Parking is available on site for a fee of $6 (good for the entire day). PROHIBITED ITEMS: Food or beverages of any kind. Noisemakers (including Thunderstix). Face paint/body paint. Confetti Laser pens No alcohol or tobacco products are permitted on the stadium grounds or in the parking lot area. All carry-in items subject to search SIGNS & BANNERS Temporary banners are allowed, with some restrictions. Banners and signs must be hand held and stationary. These banners may NOT have offensive language, be used to disrupt players or officials, interfere with spectators view, used in an inappropriate manner or be carried around the facility during an event. Banners may not be hung from balconies, ceilings, etc. LIVE STREAMING All quarterfinal games (Division 1) and semifinals games (all divisions) will be streamed live on Championship games will not be streamed due to contractual agreements and will be tape delayed on Fox Sports Wisconsin on cable television.
