3 about the artist Artist-in-Residence in Cello Charae Krueger is Principal Cellist for the Atlanta Opera Orchestra and the Atlanta Ballet Orchestra. She has been the Cello Artist-In-Residence at Kennesaw State University since Ms. Krueger is an avid chamber musician and is a member of the Summit Piano Trio, the Peachtree String Quartet, the Leaptrott Piano Trio and KSU Faculty Chamber Players. She is a regular featured artist at the Highlands-Cashiers Chamber Music Festival in North Carolina, the Grand Teton Music Festival in Wyoming and at the North Georgia Chamber Music Festival. Her solo and chamber music recitals have been featured on NPR's Performance Today, WABE Radio Atlanta and WGBH Radio Boston. She plays frequently with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and the Charleston Symphony. Ms. Krueger also enjoys recording studio work and has played on albums of Bruce Springsteen, Faith Hill and Natalie Cole. Recent concerts include performances at Charleston s Piccolo Spoleto Festival, concerts with Cleveland Orchestra Concertmaster William Preucil and solo violinist Andres Cardenes at Highland-Cashiers Chamber Music Festival, solo recitals at the Blue Ridge Chamber Music Festival and All-Saints Church concert series in Atlanta, concerto performances with DeKalb Symphony Orchestra and the Atlanta Community Orchestra, chamber music performances at the Grand Teton Music Festival and the Emory Chamber Music Society of Atlanta. She has twice performed the entire Beethoven cycle of Cello Sonatas with pianist Robert Henry, and has done a recital tour and accompanying live CD of the Southeastern US with pianist Stanley Yerlow. Ms. Krueger received her early cello training in Canada at the Regina Conservatory of Music. She went on to study at Brandon University and received her Bachelor of Music Performance degree from New England Conservatory in Boston. She also holds an Artist Diploma from the Longy School of Music in Cambridge, MA. She continued her training during the summers at the Banff Centre in Canada and did quartet training with the Juilliard Quartet at the summer program at the Juilliard School. Ms. Krueger was also a participant in the New York String Orchestra Seminar under the direction of Alexander Schneider with concerts at Carnegie Hall. After graduating, she was a founding member of the award-winning Arden String Quartet, with national and international appearances at Merkin Hall in NYC, Brown and Hofstra Universities, and radio programs throughout the US east coast.

4 biographies Assistant Professor of Clarinet John Warren joined the Kennesaw State University faculty in After a national search, he was selected as the Professor of Clarinet in His previous university affiliations include Armstrong Atlantic State University in Savannah, Georgia, and The University of Nebraska at Omaha. For 15 years, he was the principal clarinetist of the Savannah Symphony Orchestra and prior to that position, the principal clarinetist of the Omaha Symphony. He served as principal clarinetist of the Des Moines Metro Opera for many summers prior to arriving in Atlanta. At KSU, Mr. Warren teaches studio clarinet, wind chamber music, and woodwind techniques. Mr. Warren is a member of the Atlanta Opera Orchestra, the IRIS Orchestra of Memphis, TN, as well as performing frequently and recording with the Atlanta Symphony. His playing can be heard on the Telarc, Naxos, Albany, and New World labels. He has performed as soloist with the Philadelphia Orchestra, the IRIS Orchestra, the Curtis Institute Orchestra, and the Symphonies of Savannah, Omaha, Hilton Head, and Beaufort, SC. As a recitalist and chamber musician, Mr. Warren has appeared at the Aspen Music Festival, the Evian Festival and the Highlands Chamber Music Festival. He performed the American premiere of selections from Kurt Weill's opera Der Protagonist in Carnegie Recital Hall. He was a featured recitalist at the International Clarinet Association's 2005 conference. Originally, from Shreveport, Louisiana, Mr. Warren holds degrees from the University of Cincinnati College/Conservatory of Music and The Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia. His most influential teachers include Donald Montanaro, L. Thomas LeGrand, and Richard Waller.

5 Artist-in-Residence in Violin Kenn Wagner has been a first violinist with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra since 1994, and has also served as acting assistant concertmaster of the ASO for one season. Outside of the ASO, he has also appeared abroad as guest soloist with the Shenzhen Symphony Orchestra in China, and Christ Church Symphony string section in New Zealand. Nationally he has soloed with the New Orleans Symphony, Arlington Symphony and the Wintergreen Music Festival Orchestra. Locally, Kenn has also appeared as soloist with the Atlanta Community Symphony Orchestra, the Dekalb Symphony, Clark/Spellman Symphony, Atlanta Philharmonic, and the Atlanta Musicians' Orchestra. In addition to his solo work and position with the ASO, Mr. Wagner enjoys playing chamber music and performs with groups such as the Riverside Chamber Players, Leaptrott Trio (Trio in residence at Brenau University), Atlanta Chamber Players, Awadagin Prattâ s Next Generation Festival, and National Chamber Players with special guest Kenneth Slowik of the Smithsonian Chamber Players. This season he also made his debut at Piccolo Spoleto with the Orlando Chamber Soloists and also performed with members of the Grammy Award winning Cuerteto Latino Americano. Mr Wagner also performed chamber music this summer with former IU faculty member Csaba Erdelyi. Kenn is a graduate of Indiana University where he trained with Joseph Gingold, former Concertmaster of the Cleveland Orchestra. Before completing his undergraduate degree at Indiana University, Mr. Wagner won a position with the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra, with coaching from Vernon Summers of the National Symphony and former Concertmaster of both Atlanta and National Symphonies, William Steck. Kenn is very pleased and honored to be on faculty at both Kennesaw State University and Morehouse College. Kenn performs on a Lorenzo Ventapane violin on loan from the Lorely Zgonc foundation.

6 Assistant Professor of Music and Coordinator of Piano Studies Robert Henry's career highlights include 2002 solo debut recitals at Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center, and Wigmore Hall, with critics praising his flawless technique, smooth and limpid phrasing, exciting programming. He has presented concert tours of the US, England, Nova Scotia, Russia, Italy, Czech-Republic and Poland. A renowned collaborator and chamber musician, he has appeared with such notable conductors as Robert Spano, Donald Runnicles, Michael Palmer, and Stefan Sanderling. He has presented recitals with the Pacifica Quartet, cellist Shauna Rolston, soprano Mary Ann Hart, and tenor Sergio Blasquez. In response to Hurricane Katrina, he coordinated and performed in the 2006 "Pianists for New Orleans" tour of the United States, raising over $100,000. Mr. Henry has enjoyed phenomenal success competitively, ultimately winning the Gold Medal in four International Piano Competitions. On three occasions, juries have spontaneously created special prizes to honor his performances, including "Best Performance of a 20th-Century Work" and "Best Performance of a Commissioned Work." In 2010, Mr. Henry released his debut CD, Twelve Nocturnes and a Waltz. The recording is a collection of some of the world s best-loved melodies, including the world premiere of Alexei Stanchinsky s forgotten Nocturne from Mr. Henry was also winner of two 2010 Telly Awards for the documentary about his recording experience. He is regularly heard on NPR's Atlanta Music Scene and Performance Today. Mr. Henry released the world premiere recording of Brahms' recently discovered "Albumblatt," available on itunes as a single. This track is included in the album, As the Songbird Sings: Music of Schubert and Brahms, released in Earlier, Mr. Henry was joined by violinist Helen Kim in a world premiere recording of Romance and Dance by Chen Yi for Centaur Records. Also, Mr. Henry arranged and performed Faure s Pie Jesu for the Atlanta Boy Choir for the film, Captain America 3 (2016).

7 Mr. Henry earned the Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the University of Maryland, with additional studies at the Cleveland Institute of Music and the Glinka Conservatory in St. Petersburg, Russia. Presently, he is Artistic Director of the Great Performances Concert Series in Highlands, NC, Interim Director of the Atlanta Boy Choir, Organist-Choirmaster of the Episcopal Church of the Incarnation in Highlands, NC, and he proudly serves as Assistant Professor of Piano and Director of Piano Studies at Kennesaw State University in Atlanta, GA. He is also a founding member of the Summit Piano Trio. An International Steinway Artist, he maintains his web-presence at Mr. Henry is represented by Parker Artists, NY.

8 about the school of music Welcome to the Bailey Performance Center! The School of Music at Kennesaw State University is an exciting place! We have a wonderful slate of performances planned for this year's Signature Series, and if you have not yet purchased your season tickets, I encourage you to do so as soon as possible. The Atlanta Symphony returns again this year as well as a wonderful slate of other performances. The Dr. Bobbie Bailey & Family Performance Center is celebrating its 10th Anniversary Season this year. When this building opened in October of 2007, it was transformational for the School of Music and for KSU! It continues to be a jewel in our crown and musicians from around the world love to perform here because of the wonderful acoustic properties of Morgan Hall. The weekend of October 7th 8th, we had an alumni recital on the 7th and a grand celebration Sunday afternoon October 8th, with full choir and orchestra to celebrate all this Center has meant to us these past 10 years! In honor of the Bailey 10th Anniversary, we officially launched our Name a Seat Campaign during our celebration in October. What a wonderful way to honor a loved one or to provide for future programming for Morgan Hall. I look forward to a long and rewarding relationship with you.
