Franklin Street Wilkes-Barre, PA Dear Friend of the Library: We invite you to support your public library by sponsoring the upcoming Santorini Soirée Osterhout Gala, set for Friday, September 13th. All proceeds from this event will benefit the Osterhout Free Library, still going strong after 130 years of service. Most importantly, the soirée will bring in necessary funds to support our public library, a downtown landmark and city treasure. The 2018 Gala was a huge success, raising $109,000. We think the 2019 event could be even better, but we need your help to achieve our goals. Funds raised provide important programs, services and materials for patrons all year long. Recently, library patrons shared their memories and thoughts on the importance of the Osterhout Free Library in their lives. The library has been part of my life for as long as I remember. Lois A.
