1 OAKINGTON Dr Seuss has died too soon 25p Reported by Nick Almeida Seuss passed away earlier in the morning on the 24th September 1991 in his house in La Jolla,California surrounded by his family. He was a favourite author he wrote 42 fascinating books. Some say he wrote 47. When Seuss was younger he liked doodling cats in hats and foxes.when his teacher got mad Seuss decied to quit art class and decided to write poetry in books. When he was an adult, he had an idea, he can do pictures in books his first book was I Think I Saw It On Melbury Street.H e wrote too many words inside the book. Seuss friend challenge him to write 50 words in his books but Seuss had failed so he tried again this time he completed it. In 1968,Mr Giesel married Audrey Stone Diamond,who survives him.

He died in the morning on 24th September 1991 in his house in La Jolla, which is in California. He was also a resident in Springfield Massachusetts. At the age of 17, he wanted to Dartmouth college in New Hampshire. After that he studied English. Theodor Seuss Geisel started calling himself Dr Seuss even though he was not an actual doctor. In 1937 Dr Seuss published his first book"and to think that I saw it on Mulberry St". Next Dr Seuss's Friend challenged him to write a list of 50 words in a book. In 1968, Theodor married Audrey Stone Dimond, who outlived him. At the age of 4, the Dr loved writing books and poetry. He also loved doodling and would draw strange pictures of animals on the walls of his room. These would include foxes in socks, flying cows and cats in hats. When Dr Seuss was 12 years old he won 1st place in a drawing competition sadly, his friends bullied him because of where he came from. His parents were from Germany and this was when World War 2 had begun.

When Seuss was bored at home he decided to draw because he is a good drawer he even dicided to draw on his wall. At the age of 5, Seuss was a keen reder. I felt down in the dumps that the famous author Dr Seuss has passed away. Everyone feels miserable because his books had rhmying and funny nonsense words his books were really funny that when we read them they made us laugh.he was the only author that had some interesting books and funny nonsense books we wish that he never passed away.his book Green eggs and ham was very funny it was like an adventure finding eggs that looked green. His final words to us were "whenever things go a bit sour,in a job I'm doing, I always tell my self, "you can do better than this'.'the best slogan I can think of to leave with U.S.A. would be, 'We can...and we've got to...do better than this'. Somwere in his own (called La Jolla) he passed away in his own house. He was the age of 87 when he died. In his child hood Suess was very good at drawing and he loved it. He drew lots and lots of creatures because he loved animals. After school,he would go to the zoo all the time. When he was 12 he won a drawing contest. Suess was cruely bullied because his family were from Germeny. Suess left the school because his art teacher did not like his drawings. The Dr. went to Oxford university.and stayed for a year as he thought it was boring. When he left Oxford university he thought he could call him self Dr.Suess. Dr.Suess wrote so many books but then he was set a challenge from his friend. The challenge was he had to write 50 words in a book. The book was called Green eggs and ham. The Dr. wrote adult and children books. The funniest books were children books. He wrote funny words like hippo no dungers,ichew,schlop,sneech es and Mr. Socks.
