[ ] Project A-Ko 4 Final Iraq (awe) SUBTITLE GUIDE GUIDE (surprise & fear) Wait! SCIENTIST A GUIDE (continues screaming, as he runs away) SCIENTIST B (more awe) SCIENTIST A (screams) SCIENTIST C What is it? SCIENTIST A (falls down) (awe) SCIENTIST A SCIENTIST C My god! SCIENTISTS (awe, continues) SCIENTIST C (awe turns to fear, as statue begins to creak and sway) SCIENTISTS (all scream and run away). A-Ko! Time to go!

(snores) (giggles, then "hmmm"?) (faint sigh) (combat yell) Akagiyama missiles! & (continue battle cries) Go! Go! A-Ko! Go! Go! A-Ko! (continues her cheer) ASA, INE, and UME B-Ko, B-Ko, blow her up! (and continued cheerleading). It's quiet today. ASA, INE, and UME (scream at incoming missile). (narrating) As Miss Ayumi gazed over the tranquil schoolyard scene, she was overcome with a sense of helpless longing. "I have a duty to my students, but what of my duty to myself?" (continues) "Why is it that I became a teacher?" (surprise, looks up to see narrating, in person) A beautiful woman such as yourself should be joyful. (laughs smugly) Huh?

Miss Ayumi, let me -- (blown up yell) & (continue battle grunts) (panting), ASA, INE, and UME (laughing and giggling, then cheering) A-Ko! A-Ko! & (continue battle noises) (screams) (shock) INE Yea, A-Ko! Hit her again, hit her again! ASA, INE, and UME (continue cheering for B-Ko) You're finished, A-Ko! Prepare yourself! A-Ko! (screams) A-Ko! A-Ko!

A-Ko A-Ko A-Ko A-Ko A-Ko A-Ko A-Ko A-Ko A-Ko A-Ko A-Ko A-Ko A-Ko A-KoA-Ko A-Ko A-Ko A-Ko A-Ko! (pants) (surprise, when she sees walk sadly away) FEMALE PROFESSOR Yes, that's correct. Daily cleaning chores in the classroom are essential for building good study habits and discipline. NEWSCASTER A I understand. Give them a good thrashing first, then force them to clean up. FEMALE PROFESSOR (OS) Yes. It builds self-reliance. (sighs) NEWSCASTER A (OS) Thank you, very much. That was Miss Hazuki, of the community college. NEWSCASTER A (OS) Next episode, NEWSCASTER A (OS) (continues) we'll examine Graviton Middle School, and its innovative use of corporal punishment. CHILDREN Teacher! NEWSCASTER B According to the suicide victim's friends, NEWSCASTER B (continues) she'd just lost her last chance at marriage, and was deeply depressed. WOMAN I've just felt so... tired. MAN That's not like you. WOMAN It just seems like everything I've ever done has turned out to be so... meaningless. WOMAN Maybe I'll have to get married.

(screams for an incoming kick) & (continue battle sounds) (more cheering), ASA, INE, and UME You're finished, A-Ko! STUDENT E Really? Miss Ayumi's going to have an arranged marriage? STUDENT F That's the rumor. Looks like it's true. STUDENT G I heard she's marrying an old, fat, bald guy. STUDENTS STUDENT H I heard she's already three months pregnant! STUDENTS (surprise, surprise). STUDENT I They've been lovers for years, and have three children! STUDENT J Next year, her eldest son will be old enough to drink! She can't! (OS) How wonderful! Marriage is so wonderful! There must be someone out there for me. Someone like Kei. (to herself) Kei? What --?

Hey, A-Ko... (talking deep, like a guy) "A-Ko, I need you to fulfill my life." He'll whisper sweet nothings in my ear. (laughs) Hey, A-Ko! Fool. (OS) Your mentality is mired in medieval morality. Have you forgotten? He dumped you. (fake laugh) You make me laugh. Oh, yeah? He never even talked to you, but you fell hard enough, I seem to recall. At least I had a date with him. We rode his bike, and saw the harbor. So you saw the harbor. Big deal. (taken aback) Hey, this Sunday, let's -- (OS) Only an imbecile would waste her life in dreams of marriage. Marriage is just an invention of society, used to exploit women, and rob them of their freedom. Don't worry, no one's going to take your freedom away! No man's that desperate. What's that supposed to mean? You don't want the truth. It would be too painful for you to hear: That you're a repulsive, ill-bred, treacherous, vindictive idiot! And no man in the world would ever want to marry you! But, of course, I'm too polite to say that, either. Hmmm... (angry tears) A-Ko! CROWD

(fear) I didn't (under breath:) well, I sort of did (spoken normally:) mean it. Die! (OS) STUDENTS (screams) Akagiyama missiles! (screams) PRINCIPAL (angry) INE They're at it again. Akagiyama missiles! (holds back tears) and (continue fighting) A-Ko... is having so much fun.. (sighs, then surprise, as she sees going into the men's (?!) restroom) (chanting/whispering to herself, nearly inaudible) "Nyal lato hotebu yogu" (OS) (more chanting) "soto hoto iya shub nigu gratof" "Nyal lato hotebu yogu soto hoto" "iya shub nigu gratof" (continues quietly in the background)

(perplexed) (evil voice) Who's there? (screams) (in a deep voice) C-Ko, you saw, didn't you? (shakes her head "no") (more deep voice) Tell no one what happened here. SCIENTIST A (OS) It's one of their myths. I agree. SCIENTIST B SCIENTIST C No. It's a prophecy. SCIENTIST B But, Professor, it can't be -- SCIENTIST C The author is definitely referring to the future. SCIENTIST C "In the days to come, our goddess and queen will return. Terror will rain from the sky, and the stars will go black. Everything that crawls on the earth, all birds and animals, every creature and every person in the world will die." SCIENTIST C (continues) "She shall meet the Gate of the Stars. And upon failing the Test of Darkness, she shall vanish, and cease to be." "...or not to be. That is the question before the bench." (continues) "For the road less traveled is paved with good intentions, from whose dark bourne no traveler returns." and (glare at each other and make growling sounds)

Miss Ayumi, we read that yesterday. CROWD (surprised) "Ask not for whom the bell tolls, it tolls for thee, Gunga Din." (continues) "It is a far, far better thing that Christmas morn, for tomorrow is another day." Miss Ayumi! "A shot rang out, the shot heard round the world. Suddenly, there were guns to the left of me, guns to the right of me." (eating) Are you sure? ASA Absolutely, ma'am. I saw it with my own eyes! UME Miss B-Ko, your father was at Miss Ayumi's apartment for approximately 48 minutes, 23 seconds. 48 minutes and 23 seconds. Thank you. That's all for today. ASA, INE, and UME Yes, ma'am. (thinking) But then -- no, it can't be. My father... that's impossible.. "As I gaze at the moon, the mountains look like kingdoms --" (OS) (finishes the poem) "And it reminds me of my love, far away." Manyoshu, book 11. B-Ko.

Is that how you feel tonight, Father? (laughs) I'm afraid I won't be the one to win Miss Ayumi's hand. That honor goes to an ordinary young man. And your involvement? I'm just a go-between. I see. So tell me, what's the boy like? He's... You liar! You liar! You liar! You're lying! (screams) Noooo! (chiropractic sounds) (OS) (singing) I'm so very hap-py to go to see a movie with A-Ko. (song continues) I'm very hap-py to say, I'm going to see a movie today! Hmmm? ASA, INE, UME (whisper, whisper, whisper) Hello! Yahoo! ASA, INE, UME Let's go.

That's strange. Come on, A-Ko. (affirmative grunt) HOTEL SIGN Daitokuji Gorgeous Hotel (uncomfortably) So... do you have any hobbies? KEI'S MOTHER (fake laugh) My son is so quiet and shy that we could never find him a wife, even though he'll be inheriting the family business. That's why I asked Mr. Daitokuji to locate a wife for us. (ON-OS) (laughs) The strong silent type! Women appreciate a man like that! (laughs loudly again) A-Ko, let's go. and KEI'S MOTHER (both laugh, feel uncomfortable, and then they're suddenly quiet) Have you seen any movies? KEI (affirmative grunt) (suddenly perking up) What kind of movies do you like? KEI (stammers) Yes? KEI (nothing but stammering) Could you speak up a bit, please? KEI (to call this stammering would be a gross overstatement) and AYUMI (hmmm?) KEI

"Deep Throat." Yes, the critics raved. (laughs uncomfortably) KEI'S MOTHER (laughs) (laughs uncomfortably) We're gonna miss the movie, A-Ko. I've got a feeling something terrible's about to happen. How do you know? Woman's intuition. (laughs) (shock upon seeing KEI through the window) (more shock) Kei! My Kei! No! (laughs) (screams) KEI (screams) KEI (falls unconscious) and CREW Hut! Hut! Hut! Hut! (worried gasp)

Kei, are you okay? Poor Kei, tragically slain by A-Ko. It's YOUR fault! A-Ko! B-Ko! Yes? and (grunts, getting up) Save your fighting for the classroom! But Miss Ayumi, I was only trying to save you from this farce! Mind your own business! Excuse me. I accept your proposal. and (loud shock) I would love to marry Kei. Really? We'll arrange the ceremony for early next year. No! No! No! It must be tomorrow. But the chapel, the reception -- The school gym will do fine.

Oh. I see. KEI'S MOTHER Oh, how wonderful! Isn't this great, Kei? KEI (groans) C-Ko... Fantastic! (laughs) No! (to herself) A-Ko is having so much fun. CROWD (background noise) (thinking) A-Ko and Kei. Kei and B-Ko. B-Ko and A-Ko. A-Ko and B-Ko. (laugh) CHILDREN (thinking, holding back tears) C-Ko and... C-Ko and... (thinking) What about me? TITLE OF MOVIE Orange Angel I Want to Return to that World GIRL IN MOVIE Oh, there you are, Darling! BOY IN MOVIE (OS) There's something I have to tell you. Huh? GIRL BOY

I think we should stop seeing each other. What? GIRL BOY Actually... No! GIRL GIRL I know there's another girl. I've known it for a long time. But I thought I'd won. But... GIRL (OS) BOY (OS) I'm sorry. GIRL (OS) But how could you? You kissed me, Darling! How could you? Hey. Huh? BOY GIRL BOY One little kiss is no big deal!. (laughs) (cringes) (screams, falling). (whimper) (cries) (wails)

(thinking) Father, Mother, your little girl is getting married tomorrow. What is it? ASSISTANT We've detected a large fleet entering the solar system. They're in Jovian orbit, currently 200,000 kilometers from Earth, and approaching at high speed. A large fleet, you say? ASSISTANT Yes, sir. These are live images from Jupiter Station. ASSISTANT (OS) The fleet is cloaked in an energy shield of unknown composition, so we can't precisely pinpoint their position or velocity. The last invasion force that employed such a defense was composed of at least 20 vessels. We're estimating that this fleet contains in excess of 3,000 units. ASSISTANT ASSISTANT Commander, where are you going? I need a walk. What should we do? ASSISTANT We can't delay, sir. I'm formally requesting that you assume command. Oh, no. KEI C-Ko... (OS) Men, I know some of you might be afraid of confronting our enemy. But we've got 20 hours to prepare for their arrival. We'll use that time to work ourselves into a fierce fighting frenzy! The only way to fight these aliens is to attack them head on! We must strike as one, in a single, massive thrust! If we're all willing to lay down our lives for our homeworld, then we can preserve everything that is dear to us.

So for the moment, just stand by, and wait for word from above. ASSISTANT Just stand by. (whispering) We can't do anything until the politicians declare war. ASSISTANT (whispering) Don't you have the authority to act swiftly, in case of invasion? If Daitokuji hears about this, then we'll really be in trouble! ASSISTANT (reluctantly) Yes, sir. OPERATOR B Commander, call from Mr. Daitokuji. So you see, the wedding might be interrupted by terrorists. Can't you loan me a couple of platoons? STUDENTS IN BACKGROUND Where should I hang this black curtain? Anywhere you like. (etc., ad lib) (OS) (over wrist phone) Terrorists? Don't you mean your daughter? (over wrist phone) (laughs) Someone in my financial position obviously has many enemies. (whimpers) Have you forgotten a certain five-million yen "gift" last month, when your missile contract was up for bid? This is a bad time! It's not what it sounds like! Really! ASSISTANT

Sir, we'd be happy to provide security for the wedding. (shock) You would? Really? ASSISTANT We'll send you everything we've got, sir! Hey! Well, thank you! Commander, it must be wonderful to have such an understanding staff! ASSISTANT (chuckles) You may now deploy the troops. This doesn't require a declaration of war, it's simply to protect Graviton High School from terrorist activity. But... But... ASSISTANT Is this all right with you?! Yes. (stammering) ASSISTANT Mobilize the entire force!. BARKEEPER (OS) And don't come back! (shock) D D Captain! CAPTAIN (groans) D I tried to find you, Captain. But you've sunk so low! CAPTAIN D, is that you?

CAPTAIN (gasps) D, I'm finished. My hotel, my recreation center, my entire life on this planet. D (OS) Captain. D Something BIG is about to happen. D A great catastrophe will engulf this world... Nay, this entire universe. CAPTAIN How do you know? D Woman's intuition. SCIENTIST C It could be... the end of the world is upon us. SCIENTISTS A and B Professor! (stretches, then determination) (yawn, then screams as she opens the window.) (screams) Excellent job, Commander. You pulled out all the stops! ALIEN LANGUAGE A (FEMALE) Where is the Princess? ALIEN LANGUAGE B (FEMALE) (unintelligible alien jive) ALIEN LANGUAGE A (FEMALE) A wedding? Not with our Princess! ALIEN LANGUAGE B (FEMALE) (unintelligible alien jive) ALIEN LANGUAGE A (FEMALE) No, we cannot allow the Princess to marry! This must be stopped!

Miss Ayumi. Oh, C-Ko. Gosh, you look pretty! Where are A-Ko and B-Ko? Miss Ayumi... Yes? When you get married, are you going to quit teaching? (surprise, then sighs). TACTICAL GUY They're past D Point. ASSISTANT Commander, they've entered the atmosphere. What? ASSISTANT Escalate the conflict to Level One. Scramble Watermelon-1. They are NOT authorized to attack. (terrified) Help me! ASSISTANT Where are you going? (screams) I have to go to the boy's room. You can come too, if you want. ASSISTANT

I'll accompany you, sir. Do you have accidents in a crisis, too? ASSISTANT It comes from having AB blood. (thinking) Oh, Kei, don't stare at me that way! KEI (thinking) C-Ko. PRIEST Let us begin... PILOT A (super-ultra macho accent) Those idiots think they can crush us with numbers! PILOT B (even more macho) Idiot! We aren't supposed to fire, yet. PILOT C (really really macho) Ease off. We have to get some action before they run away. PILOT B (really macho) You're still not supposed to shoot, yet. PRIEST And now, for the exchange of rings. (quiet surprise, as he hears the wedding cake begin to creak) CROWD (surprise and alarm) PRIEST Please be quiet! (angry growls) CROWD (screams) (shouts) (sword swinging gasps) KEI'S MOTHER Mr. Daitokuji, what are you doing?

My daughter, B-Ko, is in here! That's strange, I thought... (OS) Over here! GUESTS (gasp at the expected surprise guest) B-Ko! (entrance shout) A-Ko! (OS-ON) I can't permit this charade to continue. God may allow this wedding, but I will not! Arrest that girl! CROWD (screams and shouting) and (assorted fighting grunts and noises) C-Ko, please stop them! A-Ko's always fighting like this. But... but... but... (OS) But I'm always.... ASSISTANT Platoon 7, stand by! Nishijima Platoon, report to Graviton Train Station immediately!

MILITARY CROWD (hut hut hut and assorted army sounds) Terrorists! Kidnapping! HELP! Mr. Daitokuji, look up. (OS) The alien fleet! It's the end of the world! (lunatic laughter) Talk sense, man! ASSISTANT You over there -- Gentlemen! (OS) To the gym, men! Protect the bride and groom! Your commander orders it! Hurry up! SOLDIERS (shouts, more hut hut hut) What are you doing, B-Ko? How dare you come to a wedding, dressed like that? You should talk! I've seen what you wear! and (struggle) SOLDIERS (charging sounds) (trampled under by crowd) KEI (drowning sounds)

Kei! I hoped it wouldn't come to this. Asa, Ine, Ume: Assemble! ASA, INE, and UME Assembly: complete! MARI (female voice) Complete.. CROWD CROWD (laughs) This is my ultimate weapon -- Robo A-Ko: 839. (shock) I've carefully analyzed everything about you, A-Ko. Your powers, abilities, proportions, and face. You've finally run out of luck. That thing doesn't look anything like me! A-Ko! How did you get so big? Go Robo A-Ko: 839!. Shoot it! Shoot it! Protect the groom! (whimpers in fright) Stop it! Stop it! Please stop it! Please! (shouts) SOLDIERS

(battle sounds, screams of pain) and (continue fighting) Stop it! I beg you! Stop it, all of you!. Commander! ASSISTANT ASSISTANT Commander, our troops! Our troops! They've been destroyed! (insane chuckle) ASSISTANT You can't give up, yet! You can't! Snap out of it, man! NEWSCASTER A (OS) Earth has been completely subjugated by the alien space force. NEWSCASTER A (OS) The World Defense Force has fallen before its onslaught. D! CAPTAIN Yes! D Oh, Kei! C-Ko! (urk) KEI No! Kei! I'm over here! Kei, you can't marry a middle-aged woman!

Marry me, instead! What are you doing? I want him! He's mine! No, he's mine! You realize, this will be reflected in your grades! (struggle),, and,, and Stop it. C-Ko! A-Ko, B-Ko, Miss Ayumi, stop it! 'Cause if you don't, I'll take Kei myself. (begins to sniffle) But I don't know what you see in him! (begins to cry) C-Ko... A-Ko... A-Ko... A-Ko, you fool! (runs off crying) C-Ko! C-Ko (looks at KEI, then up to ) Wait! Here. C-Ko! KEI

(in disgust, she drops KEI. Then surprise at the alien lights) ASSISTANT ALIEN LANGUAGE A (over speaker. The unintelligible alien language sounds as if it's being processed through a translation filter.) People of Earth: ALIEN LANGUAGE A Cease your struggles. We did not come to fight. ALIEN LANGUAGE A We only came to recover our Princess. ALIEN LANGUAGE A Following a terrible accident, her starship crashed on your planet. She was raised as an Earthling. ALIEN LANGUAGE A Her Highness must return with us, to grace us with a royal heir. ALIEN LANGUAGE A We must have her back. Her presence is essential to us. We deeply apologize for any inconvenience. SOLDIER (hostile grunt) Wait. ASSISTANT She looks just like... QUEEN Yahoo! It's me! C-Ko Kotobuki's little mommy! Did she say my little mommy?

QUEEN You got it! Come on, C-Ko, it's time to go home! Wait a minute! What's going on? Mommy! I... I... I'm coming, Mommy! QUEEN Really? Peachy! C-Ko! C-Ko, wait! A-Ko, it seems I never really belonged here, after all. C-Ko! A-Ko, thank you for everything. Try to make peace with B-Ko. Don't go. C-Ko! Thank you, everyone, for showing me such splendid friendship. C-Ko. No, don't go. I'll always treasure the priceless love you've all given me.

QUEEN So long, everyone! C-Ko. C-Ko! C-Ko! D My Princess! CAPTAIN Princess! (cries) D CAPTAIN You should have been paying attention! D You shouldn't have insisted on "one for the road"! CAPTAIN My Princess! C-Ko. A-Ko. Get on, A-Ko. QUEEN C-Ko, come play with me, over here! (sighs, then surprise as she looks out window) C-Ko! What are you doing? We need more speed!

They're getting away! Asa, Ine, Ume, Mari -- what's wrong? ASA We're out of fuel. C-Ko's getting away! (shouts) A-Ko, let's go! B-Ko! (happy sounds). SCIENTIST A That's the prophecy, then. SCIENTIST B The end of the world. Once the goddess leaves, the demons will appear on Earth. They will begin the "Ten Days of Blood and Fire." SCIENTIST A Our world is doomed. When the gate of stars opens and claims the goddess... SCIENTIST B We can't let this happen! We can't let them leave! We have to alert the Defense Force! SCIENTIST A But there's no proof that the ruins refer to these aliens! SCIENTIST C When humanity hangs in the balance, you can't worry about proof. SCIENTISTS A and B Professor! SCIENTIST C

Consider the pair of equilateral triangles, superimposed. It's called the Star of David, in Israel. It's used throughout the world as a symbol of magic and mysticism. The relationship between that symbol inscribed in these ruins, and the symbol on the alien ships is blatantly obvious. SCIENTIST A Professor! SCIENTIST B You think... SCIENTIST C The relationship between them is... SCIENTIST A The relationship? SCIENTIST B... between them is... SCIENTIST C A complete coincidence! SCIENTIST A & B (sounds of going crazy, chest beating, total intellectual collapse) KEI (crying) C-Ko... What a rip-off! This was supposed to be a good luck charm! I paid 30,000 yen for this stupid trinket! I recited the chants every night! What a rip-off! C-Ko. C-Ko! A-Ko! A-Ko, you're almost here! A-Ko! A-Ko! SCENE: exterior robot.

C-Ko! (to ) Keep going, B-Ko! I can't go on. (gasps) A-Ko! (thinking) How ironic. A love suicide, with A-Ko. C-Ko. CHILD A shooting star! MOTHER Haruka, what did you wish for? CHILD It's a secret. What about you, Mommy? MOTHER I wished for peace on Earth. MOTHER (OS) I wished for all the people of the world to live together in harmony. TITLE The End (thinking) Sometimes, you only realize how important something is once you've lost it. (waking up) (happy shock)

(giggles) I came back! C-Ko! C-Ko, don't leave me, ever again! I guess we'd better stick together. A-Ko? What? Promise me you won't fight anymore. If you say so, I'll never fight again! C-Ko and A-Ko, B-Ko and Miss Ayumi and Mari. Everyone can be friends! Yahoo! (laughs) END OF FILM *NOTE* The Script says B-Ko laughs but that is not in the film, it ends with A-Ko and B-Ko laughing.
