1 Liberty Savard Ministries, Inc. (A Non-Profit Organization) LibertySavard2U, and Liberty Savard Life Coaching March - April 2012 Newsletter April Fool s Day? Wikipedia on the Internet says that April Fools Day, April 1 st, is celebrated in many countries as a day when many people play all kinds of pranks on friends, family members, teachers, neighbors, work associates, etc. This informal holiday appears to have a silly and non-malicious intent, often filled with considerable humor. The human animal doesn t always understand clean and pure fun, however. I did a great deal of Internet diving to find some of the different thoughts presented on this and other forms of humor, fun, and joy, mixed with my thoughts as well. What is a sense of humor anyway? Do you need a sense of humor to have fun? I believe you do. Creatures such as otters, dolphins, and monkeys surely have a sense of humor, as they have been observed by many as having great fun. The American Heritage Dictionary defines a sense of humor as the ability to perceive, enjoy, or express what is comical or funny. What does funny or comical mean? Amusing, laughable, and hilarious. The difficulty is that people perceive what is amusing differently, and what sinful man perceives as funny would not amuse a holy and perfect God. Much of what the world calls humor today is not funny; it is crass and crude. Some humor is expressed at the expense of others (tearing down rather than building up) to amuse ourselves and the people around us, again something contrary to God s Word. Colossians 4:6 (The Message) says: Be gracious in your speech. The goal is to bring out the best in others in a conversation, not put them down, not cut them out. Ephesians 4:29 (AMP) says: Let no foul or polluting language, nor evil word nor unwholesome or worthless talk [ever] come out of your mouth, but only such [speech] as is good and beneficial to the spiritual progress of others, as is fitting to the need and the occasion, that it may be a blessing and give grace (God s favor) to those who hear it. Is Your Humor Always Kind? These Scriptures easily apply to our attitudes and use of humor with others. Is your humor always kind and good to others? God s humor is never cruel the way humans twist it to be at times. God tells us in Proverbs 24:17 (The Message): Don t laugh when your enemy falls; don t crow over his collapse. God might see, and become very provoked, and then take pity on his plight. Yet, the Old Testament has some Scriptures that say that God laughs at His enemies. What is the difference? In the Bible, laughter is usually an expression of mockery or scorn. We are not to use laughter cruelly or to mock. We know laughter as an expression of something funny. Some use human laughter to be cruel. It is a form of expression that must always be exercised with the intent of love and compassion if it involves others. Some people use humor as a cruel way to make fun of someone and then cover it by accusing the person in question of having no sense of humor or by swearing that the accuser was only kidding. What do you answer to someone who does this to you so that you both are not offended, yet you give the other person something good, but not preachy, to think about? People who have an intent to reject anything they might call preachy Liberty Savard Ministries, Inc., PO Box 41260, Sacramento, California Voice Mail: liberty@libertysavard.com

2 LSM, LS2U, and LSLC NEWSLETTER March April 2012 Page 2 deliberately block out anything that even be good for them. Surprise them and perhaps catch them off guard. The following could either be a question or a statement. You didn t really mean that the way it sounded, did you? Implying it as a statement would show that you don t believe they meant anything by it and you would like to give them a chance to clarify it. Presented as a question, perhaps followed up with another question of, What did you mean? means you are not sure what they meant. If they push it as something unkind, or they are determined to be unpleasant, then you just begin to pray for yourself and the other person. Some people can t be placated at that time. Sneak up on them later, if God shows you that you have an opportunity. You can bind yourself to God s will and loose any word curses that might be involved. You can immediately choose to forgive any cruel intentions the other person might have had. Bind the other person to God s will and ask Him to give them grace and mercy and understanding. Don t allow your soul to find an ulterior motive for either their wrong behavior or for your attempt to be pure in intent of heart. Rarely can any good come out of reacting to someone who is in a negative state. It will only trigger anger and an additional reactive response from that person. Scripture tells us that Proverbs 15:1 (NIV), A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger. The benefits and the woes of responding as this next verse tells us are many: Proverbs 14:30 (AMP) says, A calm and undisturbed mind and heart are the life and health of the body, but envy, jealousy, and wrath are like rottenness of the bones. God inspired the author of Proverbs to write in 15:13 (NKJV) A merry heart makes a cheerful countenance, but by sorrow of the heart the spirit is broken. Also, Proverbs 15:30 (NIV): A cheerful look brings joy to the heart, and good news gives health to the bones. And, Proverbs 16:24 (AMP) says: Pleasant words are as a honeycomb, sweet to the mind and healing to the body. Once you allow negativity to settle down in one area of your life, it starts to subtly bleed into other areas as well. When you are in a negative state or mad at someone, you genuinely don t feel very good. Does God Have a Sense of Humor? Does God have a sense of humor? Man has too often tried to force the concept of God to conform to man s image, particularly regarding what s funny. Perhaps the best indication that God does have a sense of humor is that He created man in His image (Genesis 1:27), and certainly people are able to perceive and express humor. So, they had to get it from God. That definitely is the direction of its journey. A sense of humor, of course, is a grasp of the humorous. So what is humorous? Humorous is that which is unexpected, incongruous, and preposterous. A sense of humor enables us to discern the unexpected, the incongruous, and the preposterous and find something in each of them to laugh about. Consider the giraffe, the kangaroo, the zebra, the ostrich, the hyena, and the toad. Animals, whichever kind they are, whatever they look like, are perfectly at home in this world; but we are not. We are like displaced persons and must acclimate ourselves to living in this world. We fight that sometimes, not using the tools God has given for us to use to make this acclimation easier. Humor is one of these tools that can seem to cover many an unexpected and incongruous situation with silicone. We do need this tool because from Genesis to Revelation God is constantly doing the unexpected, the incongruous, the preposterous; He does impossible things with the most unlikely people He created on Earth. Because humor is such a fundamental aspect of the good in human nature, there can be little doubt that the Man Jesus had a healthy dose of it. Humor can be a powerful vehicle for making important points and the Gospels show that Jesus used it liberally. Humor celebrates the goodness of God and the life God gives us. It is an accepted fact of medicine that humor is good for our physical health and is usually the best way in coping with the trials and disasters and irritations that come our way. A guy feeling frustrated over his family s financial troubles joked that it seems the only ones who can make a deposit on a new car are the pigeons. Through humor, you can soften some of the worst blows that life delivers. And once you find laughter, no matter how painful your situation might be, you can survive it. If we aren t careful, we can let circumstances suck the joy right out of us. Humor can lighten many a load. When times are tough, Paul says stand firm and: Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice (Philippians 4:4, NKJV) What is Joy? Joy is hope; it is our hope. It is not a meager wish, rather the unshakable confidence in our future in Christ. Our pleasure comes from knowing He is in charge and caring for us (Psalm 34:1-8; 1 Thessalonians 5:18)! We are called to declare our situation, whatever it may be, as joy! Because, it is not a question of if we have problems but when, as we all will face them. We will face problems; they are inevitable, unavoidable, and unpredictable, and no one is immune! How we deal with them is crucial for our contentment and faith.

3 LSM, LS2U, and LSLC NEWSLETTER March April 2012 Page 3 The Bible says that when we face life with a healthy dose of laughter and humor, this brings strength and good health to the soul and to the body. Joy is a more permanent, deeper kind of happiness. Joyful people think differently. They don t allow negative thoughts to occupy their minds. They not going to let the cares of the world still their joy. Joyful people act differently. Their attitude is different, it is positive. Their behavior is different, it is God honoring. Their speech is different, it us uplifting. Joyful people react differently. They don t respond harshly but encourage lovingly. They encourage, not discourage. They build up, not tear down. Joyful people are stronger, too; they are especially strong in the face of difficulty. Scripture says Do not sorrow, for the joy of the LORD is your strength (Nehemiah 8:10) We need to realize that we have no control over what happens to us at times, whether it be trials, suffering, setbacks, injury, sickness, or death of a loved one. We only have control of our attitudes and responses or reactions. We cannot change our circumstances; however, we can accept them by learning and growing from them (Isaiah 26:3). If they involved other people who seriously upset your equilibrium, one of my favorite sayings is Holding a grudge against someone is like drinking poison and expecting the other person to die. The only person we hurt when we do this is ourselves! It does no good to complain, to fret, or to be angry or bitter, as these things do neither others nor us any good. All that complaining just escalates the situation and blinds us to our ability to be better and not bitter! Joy is a feeling that tells you that your life is on track with God. When you feel joyful, you also experience feelings of pure love and an abundance of all that is good in Him. Humor requires a somewhat playful disposition and a willingness (at least temporarily) to suspend seriousness. Many people may be reluctant to give up their trademark spiritual seriousness. Lighten up is a good instruction to many Christians! Humor helps us to see certain experiences so as to provoke our laughter and to provide us amusement. Humor is a key component of joy. Jesus said to stop dwelling on the evils all around and borrowing potential troubles from them, but rather borrow hope and joy from seeking the Kingdom of God (see Matthew 6:33-34). The Christian walk should be a joyful one. There is plenty in life to smile and laugh about. A forgiven man walks lightly upon the earth, quick to see and think the best of others, and can be easily brought to laughter. He is hopeful of the future, confident of who he is, and able to lift up and bear the burdens of others. Binding and loosing prayers (such as the following) prepare you to be ready to be able to understand more about the joy and happiness and forgiveness and a good disposition that can be yours as you move soulish obstacles out of your way: I bind myself to you, Father, knowing that I am stable and fixed in the shadow of your wings (Psalm 91). I choose to get as up-close-and-personal with you as I can today, and I loose all fearful thoughts about whatever situations I might end up in this day. It doesn t matter where I go today because as long as I am going in your will you are right there with me. I loose any works of the enemy from myself; I will not allow his scams and tricks to upset or frighten me anymore. Thank you, Father God, for always keeping me safe. Amen Lord, I m tired of always jumping to the wrong conclusions about what people say to me. I m tired of always giving in to symptoms of colds and the flu. I m tired of feeling stressed and anxious. I m sick and tired of feeling sick and tired! I bind myself body, soul, and spirit to you and your plans and purposes. I loose all patterns of wrong thinking and deceptions that I have bought into. I loose the effects and influences of all wrong agreements I have ever entered into. I loose all generational-bondage thinking, religious-bondage thinking, and cultural-bondage thinking from my soul. I m feeling better already! I feel like laughing! Thank you for giving me the Keys of the Kingdom to do this. Amen Father, I have heard that my baking powder days, my olive oil days, and my raw egg days can bring about something positive in me if I will let you add a little sugar and work them together into a delicious batter. Then, all it will take is some heat to produce a beautiful cake. Okay, Lord, that s how I ll look at the heat I seem to keep getting into; I ll see it as your final touches on our work-in-progress project of my life. I bind myself to your will in all my ways, and I loose the resistance, rigidity, and stubbornness from my soul. I loose all rationalizations and justifications and wrong patterns of thinking that keep me from learning what you know I need to learn. I want to make room within my soul for the growth of the fruit of your Spirit. Especially joy! You have promised your hope will sustain me while this is being worked out in me. Amen The following list on the Internet has a humorous, but truthful, intent. Even though some could say it has compared us to a dog, I say it only has used the obvious traits that what a good God intends for us to hopefully reach towards: If you can live without caffeine, If you can be cheerful, ignoring aches and pains, If you can resist complaining,

It is so exciting and encouraging to me to KNOW the promise of God that whatever I bind and loose on earth WILL BE bound and loosed in heaven! I have changed the way I pray and also the way I believe! I stand upon His word and promises now more than ever before. God has also impressed me, like never before, with His promises that I can ask anything in His will and He will do it and that nothing is impossible for Him! My belief is stronger than it has ever been. But I do have one area I am still struggling with. I have struggled my whole relationship with my husband (20 years) and it continues to linger and at times is overwhelming. I feel like my husband is attracted to me, he is a Christian man and has never given me any reason to feel that he doesn t love me. I feel bad about how I look though in comparison to others. When he was younger, he watched his fair share of porn and looked at magazines. He is comfortable watching R- rated movies, which I am convicted not to do. He would like for me to dress more suggestively. I m afraid he gets turned on by what he sees in others, TV, or movies and that sometimes he wants me because of them. He wants me to dress like what he sees on television. It is frightening to me to think that perhaps he wants my friends or wishes I was like them. What if he feels he s settling by having me and that I m letting him down? I think he lies when he is complimenting me (which is constantly) and I don t trust him. It is on my mind so much, on a daily basis. I can t wait for God to heal and deliver me from this!! Do you have any suggestions of what else I may need to do to get relief? On a brighter note, I just want you to know that some days I m binding and loosing all day long. Thank you for your obedience in sharing this truth, IT HAS CHANGED MY LIFE!! I just can t wait to see this huge obstacle removed from our lives! Dorie ANSWER: Dorie, Throughout your long letter, you continue to blame yourself for this problem. This is a problem in his thinking, far more than it is yours. Until you see that, you may be praying the wrong way. I suggest that you pray the following prayers regularly for both of you. Pray them for your husband by changing the personal pronouns to his name. GETTING STARTED! Here are some short binding and loosing prayers to help you get started. Pray these prayers (or two or three of them) every day for several days. It is all right to pray them more than once a day if you feel unsettled. Your soul will probably become uneasy about these prayers. That is because they are going to unseat it from the throne of running your life and making decisions for you based upon its fears and misconceptions. Dear Father: There is a situation that I am totally unable to change on my own, so I am turning to you. Lord, I bind my mind, will, and emotions to your will and purposes for my life. I do not want my soul to be able to establish any more hiding places for its wrong beliefs and bad attitudes. I do not want my soul to be able to justify and rationalize its deception and denial any longer. I do not want my mind looking for ways to rephrase its fear and its anger. I do not want my emotions reacting like fireworks or rain clouds. I obligate my will to yours, my mind to the mind of Christ, and my emotions to the healing balance and comfort of the Holy Spirit. I loose, smash, crush, and destroy my stronghold thinking. I tear up and tear apart all forms of defensiveness and denial in my soul. I loose, smash, crush, and destroy the wrong beliefs, wrong ideas, and misconceptions in my soul which are like rubble getting in the way of its restoration. I am sorry for not having done this sooner. Your Word says that to repent means to think differently, to change my mind, to regret my sins, and to change my conduct. I am choosing to do this. Thank you, Jesus, for giving me these Keys and the guidelines of the Word to help me cooperate with my healing and restoration. Amen

6 LSM, LS2U, and LSLC NEWSLETTER March April 2012 Page 6 Thank you, dear God, for the Keys of the Kingdom. I am grateful to have these supernatural Keys to overcome my soul s interference with my relationship to you. I bind my body, soul, and spirit to your will for my life. I bind myself to your timing because I know I move in a human understanding of time that pressures and distorts my ability to see your ongoing work in my life. My impatience also crowds my ability to make right choices. Your eternal clock has no hands, so please help me to move quickly when you want me to and to take a stand and wait when you want me to. I loose all preconceived ideas I have about what you are doing, what you should do, how you should do it, and WHEN you should do it. I loose, smash, crush, and destroy the agitated and anxious thoughts that my soul keeps churning up. I loose my soul s hold on the wrong attitudes that keep trying to rise up in me. I will trust you, for I know that my confidence in you will never be disappointed. I ask for your peace, your grace, and your view of my eternal purposes in your Kingdom. I ask for more of you, Lord. Amen Lord, I know that I need to do some soulish demolition and clean up. Just like an urban renewal project, I want to bring in the spiritual heavy equipment and bring down high walls that have been protecting deception and denial in my soul. My safety equipment is my ability to bind myself to you body, soul, and spirit which I now choose to do. My demolition equipment is to loose, smash, crush, and destroy my soul s wrong beliefs, denial, and error that it keeps clinging to. I loose all these things right now. I do not want any error standing between me and you. Thank you for these Keys, Jesus. Amen Jesus, I don t want to do anything today that you wouldn t do. I m still working with a hotheaded soul that doesn t always share this point of view, but your divine Keys can help me preempt its reactions. I bind my mind to your mind, Jesus. I want to hear your voice today as I run into difficult situations. I loose wrong patterns of thinking and wrong attitudes that may try to come up into my consciousness, and I loose the works of the enemy from myself as I go through this day. Help me practice the fruit of patience today, and help me to act like you would in every delay, in every angry look, and in every hard word that may be spoken to me. Let me influence those around me, passing on your peace and your love. Amen I bind myself to you, Father, knowing that I am stable and fixed in the shadow of your wings (Psalm 91). I want to make room within my soul for the growth of the fruit of your Spirit. You have promised your hope will sustain me while this is being worked out in me. Amen Lord, I bind every square inch of my slippery soul to your will; it s acting like a weasel again. I bind my mind to your mind, Jesus. I bind my raggedy emotions to the Holy Spirit s comforting balance and healing. I m going to track with you today to the best of my ability. I will take advantage of my soul s confusion over what I am doing with these new Keys at this point and pressure it until it squeals. Soul, I bind you to God s preordained plans to use you as a messenger to the world and as a natural translator of His end-time spiritual message to all who will hear. I loose your schemes, plans, and soulish agendas that would cause you to try to circumvent such an awesome destiny. You have a much bigger agenda to follow now, soul, so give up your tawdry little plans! Thank you, Lord, for empowering me to become perfectly aligned with you in my spirit, soul, and body! Amen Testimonies After years of going around the mountain, I have learned the principles of loosing and binding and handing things over to Jesus. I am determined to set loose, in the name of Jesus, men that have had similar captivities. It works, it works, it works! Thanks so much, Rev. Savard, for your boldness in pursuing what was right. Now a lot of people are NOT going to hell. Because of this revelation, they can really, really combat sin and sin issues and have then TOTALLY eliminated once and for all! I am soaring like an eagle from one mountain to another. I can t thank you enough.

Thank you very, very much for letting HIM come through you to me and my brothers to be our friend in Christ. I AM THE MAN I WAS MEANT TO BE. John Rev. Liberty, Hello. I wanted to tell you how excited I am to start a Life Group at my church. Starting Monday, Feb. 6, for the next 8 weeks I will be teaching from your book Shattering Your Strongholds to a group of ladies. I m amazed of what God has done in me as I have prepared to be a vessel for Him. I love you so much for what I know you have sacrificed to write all your books. I have read most of them since 1998 and they have been life changing. Now it s my heart s desire to be a part of changing others lives. I told God in 98 if He delivered me from my strongholds I would tell the world of His goodness and He has used you to be a huge part of my deliverance. I will send you pictures of us. My thank you just doesn t seen enough, I am forever grateful for God and you allowing Him to use you to set us free indeed. Kingdom Blessings, Sylvia ALABAMA PRAYING FOR THE CHILDREN Every Monday through Friday morning (and by myself each evening), I pray with nearly 70 LSM International Intercessors do around the world for children who are in situations of all forms of abuse, hunger, sickness, poverty, and even child slavery. I pray that strong adults can bring help to them. Second Chronicles 7:14 tells us: If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land (NKJV). wills and our own agendas, and pray with all the focus and determination that we can for what is right. What might be considered one of our wicked ways as spoken of here? Could it not be that we have not cried out for others, especially the children of the world everywhere, every day! Please join with me and others in praying for the children of the world who desperately need us to agree that God s will shall be done in their lives and quickly. Lord, I come to your with pain in my heart asking that you forgive me for not daily remembering and praying for those who cannot help themselves. I bind every child in the world to your will. I bind their minds to your mind, Jesus, and I bind their wounded and ragged emotions to the healing balance and comfort of the Holy Spirit. Please speak words of encouragement and hope to them. Please send help to rescue them quickly. I loose the enemy s influence from all adults who are using and abusing so many children in the world today. Please heal them from whatever has driven them to such behaviors. People are not born knowing how to abuse; they learn from being abused themselves. Please break this evil cycle in their lives. I loose, smash, crush, and destroy the enemy s works that are coming against these children. You have said if we would humble ourselves, pray, seek your face, and turn from our wicked ways, then you would heal our land. Please show us all that we need to do to work with you to see our lands and the children in them become safe and healed and filled with hope. Thank you, Father God. Amen Always remember James 4:17 (NIV): Anyone, then, who knows the good he ought to do and doesn t do it, sins. I cannot help but wonder if some of our wicked ways are that we do not pray enough for those who need help so badly. This speaks of the power of our prayers for our nations and those in them if we will humble ourselves, stop following our own

Her books also include The Unsurrendered Soul (2002 Bridge-Logos Pub.), Apples of Gold in Baskets of Silver (2003 Bridge-Logos Pub.), BEYOND Shattered Strongholds (Bridge-Logos Pub.), GPS for the Soul (2010 Bridge-Logos Pub.), The Binding and Loosing Prayer Manual (LSS Publishing, 2009), Binding and Loosing for Beginners (LSS Publishing 2010), and The Old Brown Rocker (LSS Publishing 2011). This ministry believes the Scriptures are inspired of God, infallible, and fully authoritative for Christian faith and conduct. Jesus Christ, the Son of God, was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life on Earth, died on the cross in a substitutionary work of redemption for mankind, rose again and now sits at the right hand of the Father. Through Christ s shed blood and renewal of the Holy Ghost, justified by grace through faith, man becomes an heir of God with absolute hope of eternal life. Liberty teaches Christians how to cause their unsurrendered souls (old natures) to surrender to the will and purposes of God. She also teaches Christians how to loose emotional baggage and toxic waste from their souls to create room within themselves to receive all God has promised to them for today. This allows believers to fulfill their destinies while walking in knowledge and power to bring glory and honor to God the Father! The message of binding and loosing and the Unsurrendered Soul teaches God s people how to pray with the Keys of the Kingdom (Matthew 16:19) to impact things on earth so they come into alignment with God s already established will in heaven. Liberty also teaches Christians how to pray purely without want lists and soulish instruction manuals for God (so He will know how best to answer their prayers!). Effective prayers with pure motives declare that God s will shall be done on Earth as He has so set it in heaven. LIBERTY SAVARD MINISTRIES P.O. BOX SACRAMENTO CA April Fool s Day?
