Much like Willum Cubbert, The Nerd has been a show I've been willing to do anything for. It was written by Larry Shue, who was born in New Orleans, Louisiana and grew up in Kansas and Chicago. He graduated cum laude from Illinois Wesleyan University in 1968, served in the Army during the Vietnam War, and then began his career as a professional actor and playwright. He worked in repertory in New York and appeared on One Life to Live. Film appearances include the shorts A Common Confusion, Another Town and The Land of the Blind. Larry Shue passed away in The Nerd stands out as one of his most witty and comical plays. After just a few days of rehearsal, I knew that I had a wonderful cast and crew who would bring the Terre Haute gang to life. The Nerd is a story of a few people stuck in their niches in life and the one person who turns everything upside down for the better. Ryan Read - Director Ryan has been a member of Stage Coach Players since 1998 and has been slowly moving towards the director's seat since then.

He has also worked sound for The Female Odd Couple, Assistant Directed for Inherit the Wind and most recently directed a small scene for the 2008 Reader's Theatre.

Ryan sends his love out to his girlfriend Melissa and his family for their continuing support and patience.

Whether on-stage or backstage, Jennifer has participated in over 30 productions since she began acting in junior high.

A 2000 graduate of NIU, Ryan has performed in such shows as: Heaven Can Wait, Postmortem, Oklahoma, Big River, The Mouse Trap, Shadow Bo, all five A Christmas Carols and Anne of Green Gables. He has also worked sound for The Female Odd Couple, Assistant Directed for Inherit the Wind and most recently directed a small scene for the 2008 Reader's Theatre. He has also served on the Board of Directors and written for the Sandwich Children's Theatre and hosts a monthly online podcast for Green Lantern fans. Ryan sends his love out to his girlfriend Melissa and his family for their continuing support and patience. Jennifer Snow - Stage Manager Jennifer is pleased to be able to take part is such a fun play and to be working with such a talented group of people. Whether on-stage or backstage, Jennifer has participated in over 30 productions since she began acting in junior high. With SCP since 2002, Jennifer has acted, sang, stage managed, directed, and had dirt and glitter thrown on her more than any one person should in their lifetime. When Matthew is not working his graphic design 9 to 5, he is performing with professional improv/sketch comedy group, The GreenRoom. At Stage 212 in La Salle, Tracy acted in nine roles from , her favorite being the gender-neutral Leslie in Sylvia. A native of Iowa, Tracy received her Master's degree in English at Iowa State University and is an editor at Northern Illinois University Press. Jeff Whelan - Warnock Ticky Waldgrave Jeff did a little play in the 8th grade called The Lizard of Oz and he's been hooked on theater ever since. Jeff performed in 3-4 productions a year during high school and has also performed with the Children's Community Theater, Kishwaukee College and NIU. The past 16 years have been devoted to Stagecoach Players, where Jeff has appeared in such productions as The Elephant Man, Dracula, Sylvia, The Crucible, Fools, Visit to a Small Planet, Nuts, I Hate Hamlet, The Petrified Forest, Earth and Sky, and last year's Communicating Doors.
